Clown Sightings PSA *PLEASE READ*

As I’m sure many of you have heard, there have been multiple sightings as people dressed up as deranged, horrific clowns roaming through forests and local neighborhoods on the northeast and eastern coast of the United States, mainly in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio (I believe), and Michigan. These clowns have been known to come up to houses and other parts of neighborhoods attempting to lure children into the woods by offering them money or candy and telling them of a cool cabin by a pond that they live in, or something along those lines.

At first, these clowns only posed a threat of attempting kidnapping, but now there have been a few clowns that were seen carrying weapons, such as machetes, and I just read an article today that a teen was stabbed to death by one of these clowns in Pennsylvania.

This honestly terrifies me. Not only because of what’s happened so far, but it’s progressively getting worse and spreading to other states, including my own. It doesn’t make anything better that it’s October and Halloween is coming up. There have even been sightings in townships where I currently work and right by where some of my family and loved ones live as well.

PLEASE WATCH EACH OTHER’S BACKS!!

Please keep close eyes on all children who are walking around, even in groups, and even carry some form of defense with you if you’re close to the areas where these sightings have been so far! Try to stay as safe as possible and if you see anything, report it immediately!

Also, I know this idea may suck and I might just be overthinking this, but if you’re in those areas, please try to avoid haunted attractions such as hayrides and corn mazes. With these criminals dressed up, it’s really hard to tell who’s an actor and who isn’t. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love haunted hayrides, but since there have been sightings really close to my immediate area and the hayride I usually go to is in that area, I’m probably going to skip it this year. Also, be careful around actual Halloween, because if this situation hasn’t been situated by that time, who knows what can happen.

Sorry for the long post, I just want to inform as many people as I can, because I’m honestly really freaked out by this. I got so nervous just walking from my work building and my car tonight after my shift because the building is backed up to some woods and the parking lot lights are temporarily out due to construction going on with some other buildings nearby. It just made me so uneasy.

I just want everyone to be safe, and I’m already hearing from some people that it’s a hoax, which makes no sense because there’s clear video and photo reference to it, but way better to be safe than sorry. Thank you for reading.
