Itâs a #1 new release on Amazon today! https://www.amazon.com/Second-Career-Pet-Sitting-Real-life-start-up-ebook/dp/B07J499ZN1

The words you use can end stigma instead of perpetuating it.
I edit quite a few books, fiction and creative nonfiction (memoir & self-help), that include characters with mental illness or that discuss mental health issues. Whether you're writing about a make-believe character or writing about your own experiences, it's important to use words that end the stigma of mental health issues rather than perpetuate it.

According to research, goal setters accomplish more than those who donât set goals. What's more, people who write down their goals are 42 percent more likely to achieve them simply by writing them down. This is why goal setting for authors is so important. Give yourself an advantage: Put thought into what you want to accomplish in 2017. Write that down. Create a plan that will help you get there.
Authors who don't add goal setting to their end of the year to-do lists are less likely to reach their goals than those who do. Learn how to do it here.
My guest post on the KM Editorial site tells you why patience and preparation are important once youâve finished NaNoWriMo. (via NaNoWriMo is Done. Now What?)
