Gaggle Gossip Dispatch — Catch‑Up Edition

The Senior Gander kept the flock close after the losses, moving quiet and steady. A visiting mama goose arrived with her babies, slipped into the pond like she belonged, and the flock decided they’re staying for good. The Shade Seekers rest under the sad river birch while squirrels wait at the snack box like employees on break. Two young geese trail Nicole everywhere, waddling behind her like loyal puppies, keeping watch as the pond settles into its new normal.

I have been working so hard this season to help bees and butterflies so this makes it all worth it even the 100s of mosquitoe bites I have gotten dont seem so bad.

In bloom today,waited so long for the swamp milkweed to bloom and finally today she has.

We will be having several storms so everyone that bloomed today may not be here by tomm.The sunflowers are all secondary blooms .

2 years ago on this day.IThis is Luna she is no longer with us but still think of her everyday.This little bird was my light ,I can not believe how much of an impact something so tiny had on my life.I loved being bird mom.I loved her so very much.I like to think she guides me through my days.I now have another bird both which have been rescues.Birds are my thing I guess almost like my calling.The ones that need help love and or a home seem to always find me.I only had Luna 5 yrs and was very unexpected when lost her.

Also today in the burg we have Mallory Mallard and her little one Molly ,sadly there were 2 now we are hopeful that this little one stays safe.Have not seen Dad in some time.Also found Kermit in my water jug and hes sadly missing a limb.Helped him to safety .My best sunflower was accidentally taken down but bumble found another one so its been an eventful day.

Checked out the bird house today and was excited saw a little head popping out but much to my surprise we have a phrogger well maybe a squatter or would he be a frogger?Was it a home invasion?Felt bad for the birds so made them their own beach .

Gaggles not been at the pond lately think its to hot.Miss seeing them.Making friends with the crows now .They come for peanuts slowly they are getting used to me.Gaggle gossip soon to come hopefully.

Gosling I rescued on this day last year,while waiting for bird rescue to come he sat in my lap or my bathtub.He was imprinted on humans they said .I still know him now and which one he is.They did end up releasing him back into wild he was slow learning everything but after awhile he became one of the gang.

Saturday at the pond.

Front yard visitors,not sure if he is lost or where turtle even came from ended up having to rove him from rose bushes and was not an easy task.Took him to storm drain hopeful he can find his way.

Rescued a fledgling yesterday,I found him in my garage and then realized he had been alone since tues he then seemed as though his health was in danger so took him to the bird rescue here.As for the others just birdin around and my little squirrel was waiting for me on my lunch break.
