I see it more that even from the jump he seemed to attach himself to smitty (mind you it could’ve been a comfort thing partially as well bc he just started out in the nhl)

I think Mack loves any chance to learn from playing with other notable Canadian players (or just other players in general) which is why he chose to go back to worlds for a second year in a row when he said he was planning to have a more chill off season (lol)

but it’s definitely noticeable how significant and different his friendship is with smitty even compared to the other guys on his own team who he sees on a day to day basis. Every time I see clips of him with other guys he’s definitely a bit more serious whereas with smitty he relaxes a bit (which we all know he needs to do)

either way I hope we get to see those two play together for many years to come!

after watching Mack play more publicly on a couple different teams for hockey Canada now, I think it continues to reinforce how dramatically different his relationship is with Will than it is with any of his other teammates regardless of who he’s playing with

casual rant but the disregard for rpf spaces where people are now airing willmack out on twitter and tiktok constantly is getting to be a bit much, and there’s no way especially with Grace on TikTok that they’re unaware these convos about them are happening

I fear if it continues in public forums we are going to get less and less content from them in the future (or at least they will be more mindful and not 100% themselves) because they won’t be able to live their lives normally without people picking apart every single thing they do and showing it to the general public 😭

I slowed down the sniffing neck video to the max and when mack starts to sniff him and before will starts skating, it looks like will lifts his head and throws his head back a little kinda like when you get chills or tingles? and then for like half a second he stays there, almost looked like he was waiting to see if mack was going to do something else? he was feeling things for sure

to me, it looks like a panic response…like the—holyfuckhislipsjustgrazedthebackofmyneck i gotta go and i think i’m supposed to laugh about it—type.
