Update: I’m back! (kinda)

Hey! I’ve been kind of dead ahaha,,,, I’m really sorry. I was more active on my Instagram, but even that I’ve taken a huge step back from. I’ve been struggling with my art lately and honestly, I wasn’t enjoying the process of creating, nor did I like anything I’ve made. I think I was caught up with feeling that I had to keep making content if I wanted to keep an audience, and that was never my initial intention of sharing my art, even though that’s what it grew to. This account was always meant to be a personal portfolio of my work so that I can look back on all the things I’ve created and to track my progress, and that’s still what I want out of it! To those who are still here after all this time, thank you so much for still supporting my work despite my constant change of interests and my inconsistency! I honestly truly, truly, appreciate it.

Can’t promise I’ll be back on Tumblr all the time but I always remember this blog every so often and come back, so even if I go on hiatus, I’m never really gone hehe~

This is half of an art trade with my friend, the breathtakingly talented @niminny​ . These two are Amelia and Felix: cross dimensional pen pals. They’ve known each other since childhood but have never met, until now. 

For this piece I’ve decided to write and illustrate fanfic that occurs shortly after they meet for the first time, when Felix leaves Amelia alone in his dorm for two minutes.

Orpheus rested their head on Wren’s chest. The day was just so arduous and long and Wren was the warmth and comfort he really needed. As she drifted off to sleep, Wren wanted nothing more than to wrap his arms around Orph’s small figure, but could only sit there, almost surprised at how vulnerable Orpheus looked. She trusted Wren.

The realization slowly creeps up on him, along with the suffocating guilt. Wren never meant to fall in so deep, but here he was, with his heart feeling so full, but his gut feeling so heavy. Maybe he was starting to regret lying all this time.

Inspired by this post I made a while back! I’m so obsessed with Hadestown and I love the idea of Asra having an absolutely angelic voice~

Julian has always been alone. As much as he wanted to let someone in, he absolutely couldn’t. Either they will hurt him, or he will hurt them. And if he was quite honest, his soft heart couldn’t handle being crushed or the thought of crushing someone else. So he kept everyone at an arm's length away, hiding behind a mask of bravado. An act if you will. Every day he would play an exaggerated character of himself, and his dramatics comforted him. However, when night came, there was no one to perform for. And that’s when his loneliness hit him the hardest.

Since the fateful day when Willow came into his life, or rather, he stumbled into hers, he had never felt a stronger longing in his life. A longing to learn more about her, a longing to spend time with her, a longing to hold her. She ignited a fire in him and only she could keep it alight. 

But Julian couldn’t stop the fear that stirred in his heart. Why would one as beautiful and wonderful as she fall in love with him? He felt so unworthy of someone willing to support and fight for him. And he foolishly pushed her away. Julian loved her so but worried that he would cause her pain. 

Willow never let him push her away too far though. She would come right back because she loved him too. She believed in him when he didn’t even believe in himself. And slowly, with her help, he began to.

It was just another night, but this time, he wasn’t alone. And instead of pushing her away, Julian pulled her in close.

Ah, I went kind of crazy designing some outfits for Willow haha;;; But it was super fun to do! (and very self-indulgent hehe~) I’m thinking of maybe? possibly? doing commissions sometime in the future? I think I would start off with something simple, like The Arcana sprite commissions, just to dip my toes in the commissions’ world. I don’t know, but it’s something that I’ve been thinking of and something that’s piqued my interest. If that’s something that you’d be interested in, please let me know!
