The more I learn about world history, about how work, and society, and life in general worked in ancient, pre-colonial, pre-capitalist history, it makes me wonder about how we define neurodivergant people.

Does being neurodivergant mean there is something wrong with your nature, or does it mean that it's harder for you to act unnaturally?

when I see a stupid kid preaching about the "maladaptive daydreaming benefits" all i can think about its how broken they'll be when they start to interact with real life flesh-and-bones-and-complicated-emotions people, and don't get everything they wish from them even though giving all of themselves.

You mean like people trying to say daydreaming makes them more empathetic and one day they’ll be faced with the cold hard reality that people are not pawns or toys or objects the way paras are and being able to fully understand and sympathize and be compassionate and feel for a daydream character is different than interacting with a real life person because you will never be privy to all of them the way daydreamers are their own paras or do you mean something else entirely??

exactly, our paras are like extensions of ourselves, they're projections of our own desires of how the world and people should be. I'm not saying that everyone we meet is selfish and mean, but is definitely harder to understand their reasons and emotions. And sometimes they are actually selfish and mean.

we are more empathetic, creative and intelligent cause of this but our vision of the world is distorted and unrealistic. Specially when dealing with real people.
