Hello friends! I realize we have not made a proper post about this, so..
For a little bit, I will probably not be making many posts and will not be very active on this account. There are some reasons for this that I would like to be transparent about, even if I am afraid of rejection.
Firstly, without getting too heavy on the details, we were victim of a violent crime some months ago, and many feelings about it have been resurfacing. It's been difficult to maintain activity due to the toll this has taken on our mental health. I would prefer not to speak about the crime further, for safety and comfort.
Secondly, we are a system. A few people know this fact already, but it is relevant now to why there may be less activity here. I have started fronting again after a long time, and.. Well, I do not know anyone very well, so it feels scary to speak to all of these seemingly new people. That, and this does not feel like "my" account, so I do not want to be rude by posting on it.
I would like to have more to say, but.. To be honest, speaking about this already makes me feel quite scared! I hope you all can understand these things, and treat me with kindness as I retreat from these accounts. I will still try to be active elsewhere, but not here. Thank you!

here are some notes and boundaries for this blog:
No NSFW. I may be an adult, but it personally makes me uncomfortable! I also would like this blog to be accessible to general audiences (although I prefer to roleplay with fellow adults).
Any blogs can interact! Crossovers, various timelines, OCs from any franchise.. you don't even have to be a roleplay blog!
I sometimes take a while to respond to notifications. I'm disabled, and I won't always have the energy for it, on top of being a bit scatterbrained! I do this for fun, so please don't expect it to be my #1 priority.
I probably won't do magic anons, sorry! I just don't personally understand them very well & feel like they mess up my flow.
I'm also unlikely to do romantic roleplays. This could be subject to change, but I'm just not very interested in it, especially for Merlin. I much prefer platonic and familial stuff. ^_^
In case it may need to be stated, this blog is not aiming for historical accuracy. Merlin is inspired by D&D and from a LEGO show, so..
I'm open to doing socmed format and semi-lit to lit format for roleplay. I like to frolic and play
key info about merlin:
- Non-binary, but generally referred to as male [He/him pronouns, masculine terms].
- He's a paladin for the Upply, with his sworn oath being that to protect the innocent, serve the good, and be the light for others.
- He's in his early thirties. Presumably the youngest member of the Upply?
- The name "Merlin" came from Fungus, who chose it based off of the famous sorcerer of the same name.
- His origins are generally unknown and left to speculation—one day he just appeared in Shintaro asking for the Upply before sheepishly inquiring if they needed a knight in their party.
- People tend to make up rumors about his background. Some say he's a suit of armor come to life, others say he's a jaded soul so engulfed in shame that he refuses to show his face to anyone. He thinks the gossip is amusing.
- He's very serious about just about everything he does. He has a difficult time expressing himself, save for a few shy moments of his.
- Genuinely despises those that are unjust. He is not above killing evildoers, unlike most of his allies. He doesn't understand the moral qualms people have with such acts—if someone is truly evil, then do the means matter that much?
- His face is never visible beneath his helmet, shrouded in darkness (if it even really exists at all).
