One notable absentee in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988) is Popeye. In the original storyboard however, he does appear, along with Bluto, during Marvin Acme’s funeral. He gets into a fight with, of all characters, Goofy. Gawrsh!
In the last panel, Casper the Friendly Ghost asks Foghorn Leghorn: “Will you be my friend?” Dick Tracy, Baby Huey, Daffy, Donald, and others look on.
(Also–note the crying Felix.)

I always thought there was something sinister about the Gorgs from FRAGGLE ROCK, in their derelict, make-believe kingdom. The later design of Ma though obviously was an improvement over the early version (last image).
