Is my diaper very visible?

It happened to me for the first time, but last week I actually had a personal control at the airport. After going through the body scanner the result was marked as suspicious (yellow) in my “underwear area” and the crotch area as extremely suspicious (red with a little exclamation mark - I guess the diaper might have been a little bit wet at that time which was also detected) on the display of the scanner.

Following a personal scanning the officer at the airport said that my trousers look suspiciously bulky and they need to verify it. I tried to pass the message by saying that I wear “protective underwear” but it looks like he did not get it. I got escorted to the cabin by two officers where I was requested to take off my trousers.

So I pulled my trousers down for the officers to see my adult diaper covered by semi transparent plastic pants in its full glory.

Honestly it was not a pleasant experience, but I think the security officers were even more embarrassed. They apologized and said they had to check “the anomaly”. They also said i should have told them before but tbh. this is what i tried to do, without saying “I AM WEARING A DIAPER” out loud in front of other passengers…

I do not really have an option not to wear protection. Does anyone know a way to avoid such situation in the future?

Delicare Slip Medium Super Plus - diapers from Italy. In theory this should be high absorbency, night time product. The diaper is plain white, plastic covered with breathable sides. Unfortunately it does not seem to absorb very well and leaks rather quickly. Because of that I used it almost always with a booster pad. On the plus side - it is comfortable to wear.

Got these during my trip to France and it seems to be available only there. Comfortable, pretty absorbent and not very bulky. Despite having “nuit” (night) in the name, best suited for daytime use.

This is definitely one of the best products on the market. The new Tena Slip Maxi is fully breathabe unlike the previous version which was covered with plastic. For some this migt be a drawback but I like the new version much better. Very comfortable & very absorbent. Great product.

AMD Slip Medium Super.

I found it good for daytime use. This diaper is covered with breathable cloth like fabric and not very bulky. Despite this quite good absorbency.
