My name is Cole. One of my favorite hobbies is playing video games. In this blog I'll be posting things that I do, make or own that's video game related. Instead of reblogging others' posts. Stuff I usually post will be reviews on games I've beaten along with game screen shots of games I play. Video game themed perler beads I make. As well collectibles, video game shirts and merchandise I've gotten over the years. While I prefer playing Nintendo games, I've also played a large assortment of games over the years. It's just Nintendo games had the biggest impact on my childhood. From when I was in the womb when my mom played Dr.Mario on the NES. To today in my room with all sorts of Nintendo merchandise in it. And when I'll be gaming even when I'm an old guy in adult diapers I'll still be playing Nintendo games. If you wish to exchange friend codes that's fine just put it into an ask. Though some games I might be rusty on since it might have been a while since I've play the game or not. _________________________________________ Reached 100 Followers on 9/2/2013 Reached 200 Followers on 5/16/2014 Reached 300 Followers on 3/16/2015 Reached 400 Followers on 12/29/2016 _________________________________________ Currently Playing: Xenoblade 2, Splatoon 2 _________________________________________ Fire Emblem Heroes: 7304220194 Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp: 8833 0186 877 Super Mario Run 4089 0748 0381 _________________________________________ To Add to Miitomo, Twitter button is down below. Today Fallout 76 has been realized, and this Vault Boy sticker has been a free preorder bonus months ago. I got to give out a couple of these to people who preordered, and I got to explain to some people why he has always winked while giving a thumbs up. Which I learned thanks to @didyouknowgaming, that if there’s a nuclear explosion, you put your thumb over the explosion cloud and if it’s larger than the view of your thumb you’re too close to the explosion. Which a lot of Fallout 76 players are going to have to do since they’ll be nuking each other.
I drew this a while ago for my husband when he was feeling down. If you’ve been having a hard time, I hope it gets better soon. You’re not alone. Sending pidgey hugs
We got these posters in back in April at GameStop, and I got one for my poster collection and it’s pretty sick looking poster. Don’t quite understand why the title of the game makes Lara Croft sound like a bad guy but it’s still probably going to be a decent game. Hope people are enjoying it.
Got a couple new Pokemon plushies awhile back at GameStop, at the time we got a 75% employee discount on clearance items so I got all these a pretty cheap prices compared to their original full price. Like I got all these less of a cost than buying the Hat Pikachu at full regular price.
This cute little cow came as a preorder bonus for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope for the Switch. Though at the GameStop I work at no one preordered it and we got this little one anyway. After a week I brought it home with me, her name is Petunia.
Yesterday my Octotune Splatoon 2 soundtrack in, that also comes with a bluray with the ‘live’ performance of Callie, Marie, Pearl, and Marina on stage at Makuhari. I’ve always liked the music of the Splatoon games, can’t say I’ve ever heard of music quite like these in other mediums.
A few weeks ago the Splatoon 2 Splatfest Inklings VS Octolings happened and as a nice thing, Nintendo put up these 11x17 posters of the two teams on My Nintendo Rewards. They’re free to download, just got to print to size and you’ll have nice posters, download them while they’re still up.
Got some nice enamel Pokemon pins from GameStop on clearance with a nice 75% discount. They’re really nice and on the back instead of a regular rubber stopper it’s shaped like Pikachu’s face like the background behind the pins. One thing I wonder is why Vaporeon was picked for the pair with Eevee.
I actually forgot about this preorder bonus for Octopath Traveler, I got it when I went back to work and just opened them. I'm in love with the details on these character cards, they're reflective and have small textures on them. And the stickers are also nice, and there's a lot of them too.
Octopath Traveler released on the Nintendo Switch 7/13/2018
And it looks pretty awesome with it’s beautiful sprite work that I’ve seen so far from the game. I’m honestly looking forward to a good game with this many characters with their own sides of the story. Two years ago The Legend of Legacy by Atlus came out on the 3DS, and it advertised having seven different characters each with their own stories to play through, but soon after playing it it didn’t give me what I was hoping for. I was thinking I would play as one character and slowly meet others in their individual stories, but you start off with three characters and just recruited the other characters in the town like nothing. So I’m hoping with this one, there’s actual crossing paths and naturally flowing team ups. I also love the collector’s edition that comes:
Octopath Traveler Game
8-Page Pop-up Book
Double-sided World Map of Orsterra
Octopath Traveler: Sound Selection CD
and Replica of a Leaf Coin
There’s also something real neat on My Nintendo Rewards here, where you can print out eight alternate boxcovers featuring each character. I plan to get some extra cases and make a set of them.
So my coworker was wrong about this pin here being the second one, this Xernas and Yveltal pin is actually the second one. So now it’s a new very awesome pin for the collection, I want there to be many more where these came from.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Adventurer’s Edition came out today, weird that it’s on a Tuesday. Anyway, while I haven’t played the rest of the games in this series, I have played Legacy of Ys on the DS, granted this is a whole different experience. Combat looks pretty fun, and it came with some nice bonus items. A double sided poster, one side with a map and the other featuring Dana Iclucia. As well as three character cards as well, I like RPGs so I’m hoping for a nice experience.
Edit: Well! I certainly didn’t realize that Adol is the main character of EVERY Ys game, I would have thought it was like Final Fantasy or something with multiple main characters. But Adol is certainly “Adventurer” man, but knowing that he starts off almost all his new games after a ship wreck and after having the main heroines fall for him is just so silly I love it.
Picked up this Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild bow, quiver and arrows set from Toys R Us. It can be a nice display piece, though I’m sure people have used it a bit for cosplay purposes. Would need to change out the belt on the quiver though to fit a bigger person.
Like other people today, I got my The Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia in the mail today. I plan to look through it a lot more thoroughly later, but I’ve liked what I’ve seen in it so far. Though my first thought was, this is already outdated due to Breath of the Wild being out. Then I realized it’s because Breath of the Wild hasn’t had it’s place in the timeline decided yet, so that makes sense. Anyway, can’t wait to read through all this.
I got a really nice surprise going back to work and getting this at GameStop. I love pins and I collect lanyards, so these are both great additions. My coworker said we missed getting the first one?? Like maybe a Xernas and Yveltal pin that I now need in my life?? All I know is I want us to get more of these, gimme.
A father and his young son bought Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero for the PS4 when I recommended it to them at GameStop. We had it as a preowned copy, and the father wasn’t interested in the box and the soundtrack. So he just left with the game instead, so instead of tossing it I decided to keep it since I actually own the game on the Wii U. And I’m always interested in adding videogame OST CDs to my collection.
