There are a lot of things I wanted to blog about during the months I haven't been blogging ...one of them is this.
Now I love Desperate Housewives, it's funny but dramatic and has great story lines, and I'm sad to say that this season is the last.
Now when it came to October, I was getting annoyed that there was nothing on TV.....absolutely nothing! And I knew that everything had started in America.
When is came to desperate housewives, I had missed a few episodes of the last season (although I already knew how it ended), so I decided to catch up. And once I'd done that I thought, what the hell...might as well watch the final season that was currently airing in America, especially since it was the last and I knew if I just stayed up-to-date with the airing in the UK, I'd spoil the final episode for myself before I would get to watch it. So TO THE PIRATE BAY!!
And all I can say about this season is WHAT THE HELL!!! What is wrong with the creators of desperate housewives!! They are being total assholes! Ok...for UK people, and others
Right, well, as we know, the ladies killed Gaby's stepdad (aka Ignacio from Ugly Betty). He was a bastard and deserved it.
And, obviously, throughout the season, they kept teasing with the ladies being found out. But, then the unthinkable happened....the ladies relationship fell apart, and they were all against each other. This finally repaired, but not completely...they all turned against Bree. This was so upsetting and annoying...she was being the leader and holding everything together, but they turned against her. And with the aggression that Bree was getting from Chuck, everything was going badly...and when I thought it couldn't get any worse, this happens.
This episode had me screaming at the TV, on the edge of my seat and close to tears. Thankfully, they didn't kill of Bree, but they tried it...and I was not amused. It was quite late when I was watching this episode, and I had to stay up longer....I mean I couldn't end my night with this image.
And I thought, with Bree getting saved, she'll come back and everything would be okay. How wrong I was....she went back to drink...then she started sleeping around...
When the girls found out that she was back on the alcohol, they tried to help and finally repaired their relationship, but I'm so pissed off that it took Bree going bad on the boozer to finally fix it.
Then came one of the most recent episodes....they thought it would be fun to start the episode by telling us, "someone will die"....and they played this line to the max.
First, Karen wanted Bree to help her die...she has cancer again and wanted to end it when she could. This was really sad. Karen is a great character...but I was more annoyed that they'd given her cancer again.....
But when she decided to carry on living, they kept playing it. Bree ate the suicide pie...so they threatened to kill Bree again....
Then they decided to make Juanita go on the roof and Carlos to go and save her...threatening both of their lives. But they both got back safely to the window.
The episode was nearing it's end and no one had died. They went to Mike and Susan having a lovely talk on the porch....then the loan shark comes driving past. I was shouting and swearing at the screen....Mike shoved Susan back into the house, then got shot....square in the chest........
I was so upset. And the episodes following it, with Mike's funeral and Susan saying lines like:
“Think I’ll keep these. MJ always says he’s gotta fill Daddy’s shoes. So if I save a pair, someday, he will know that he did.”
And they aren't done yet. They are making worse and worse threats about getting Bree sent down.....I would say it can't get worse, but I bet they're trying to do just that. I'm honestly hate the creators of the show right now. They are trying to end the show in a horrible horrible way, destroying all the loveliness from the rest of the series.
The only good thing happening at the moment is Lynette fighting to get Tom back, but then the creators broke them up in the first place.....
Please, the creators of Desperate Housewives....don't let it end badly.
