I take back my earlier gripes about version 2.9, krita now has proper support for eyedropper + wacom side switch (penabled). you can set it to use left button + alt in the configure krita section, under tool invocation (or alternate invocation?)
also it does feel much faster and you can actually use some big brushes across the canvas, although some brushes (bristles in particular it seems) are still slow.
still, I’m impressed with this update! esp since photoshop cc 2015 is still lagging like wow (skull doodles are in krita (yes i forgot a lot of names over the years so this is a memtest), face was from PS)
oh yeah let’s just draw skulls skulls and more skulls.
ugly drawings drawn way zoomed out cuz. it’s more about remembering landmarks, names and and locations (so rusty)

ref............ for.... 3d skull (i don’t think i actually used this one here but whatever, the app’s useful)

yeah, it’s useful to remember certain functions of construction, i’m rusty as hell
idk doodling dragon age again haha. this is a krita test. it seems to have improved the brush speed somewhat, but some are still pretty much unusable past 30px
also the eyedropper control for wacom pen sideswitches is seriously WTF

It’s done! I drew so many feet in this picture oTL
I’ll have this as a print at Rose City Comiccon and (hopefully) GeekGirlCon this year~
haven’t drawn anything for ‘fun’ since last year! combatting stress by fanarting
WIP, the full thing is giving me a headache
the pixellation texture effect is from taking a picture of my ancient monitor with my phone, please fullview for best results!)

bleh!
yeah struggles
it was better before I added in too much I think. should've kept it more abstract in the background.
anyway, I found this really useful for de-rusting (since apparently I have a mudmaking problem) and now my colours are finally starting to swing a bit more towards 'less muddy'!
http://www.dgallup.com/mixing-luminous-gray.html I highly recommend watching the video (it's on the right side of the page, rather missable) or it won't make any sense.
I took some snaps of my palette -- need to premix the values for those batches of colour before I paint an area so they don't become all muddy (my goal is to try and get the colours right before attempting to tweak fix them).
even on the palette I do end up with more interesting colours! before, I had patches of mud...
have to really not be lazy and clean my brush off properly haha.
