An awful lot of people are waiting right now. Me included. Waiting to be ready. Waiting for the inspiration to come back. Waiting for the ideas to formulate more fully. Waiting for permission. Waiting for answers. Waiting waiting waiting.
We wait, thinking that someday we’ll feel completely prepared, utterly inspired, fully formed in our ideas. We wait for someone to tap us on the shoulder and say, “Now. Now you’re ready.” But that day never comes. And in our waiting, life passes us by. Stories remain untold. Art stays locked inside us. Because waiting is just another word for fear. Fear hiding in the false security of a perfect moment that will never come.
Dear 2026, Please protect me from fake love, ill intentions, hidden jealousy, energy vampires, and anything sent to drain me.
