In fifth grade I wrote a really good short story based on Greek mythology, specifically about Ariadne and Medusa, set in the modern era. I don't have the original story, but I've kind of been working on it in my head for nearly three decades now. So my inspiration tag is #ariadne for anything that even slightly feels like it could contain ideas that could be incorporated into my grand artistic vision. Also, Ariadne is my chosen name.

I went through a very long period where I didn't really have my own video games, didn't have a TV, only played emulated games and my friend's consoles. A few years ago I used my measly pittance from B*den to buy a gaming laptop and life has been better since. I play racing games, RPGs, space games, any BIG games with tons of content and character customization, and anything popular on tumblr. Outside of games from the 90s my favorite games are Forza Horizon 5, Disco Elysium and Cyberpunk 2077, and I'm fully into Fallout and Borderlands. With that said, I was specifically obsessed with Squaresoft in the 90s and that fascination never really died out. Final Fantasy(s) 3-9 are my obvious favorites, but I have an extra special fascination with the game Saga Frontier, and its main menu is the header of my blog. My avatar is a drawing by Tomomi Kobayashi of Asellus from Saga Frontier, the first wlw and the first bisexual character in video game history. I also just love the first PlayStation. It's not a nostalgic thing for me, because PS1 and Squaresoft have never not been a part of my life. I fucking hate Squenix tho and I especially hate Final Fantasy X and the Final Fantasy 7 remake.
My favorite musician over the last few years has been Fred Again.. He makes drum & bass, UK garage, ragga, hip-hop, and general experimental electronic music, usually with some kind of hip-hop elements involved. He's got a knack for genre blending, vocal manipulation, vast emotional range, smooth tempo manipulation, hypnotic whirling synths, a somewhat innovative approach to sample sourcing. He runs on a unique spectrum from aggressive breaks and modulated basslines to straight up piano sonatas and long form ambient tracks. He's a Boiler Room darling. Everything he makes is collaborative in some way. He released three albums in 2024. He toured as a DJ act with Four Tet and Skrillex, in fact they headlined Coachella together when Frank Ocean cancelled. And he made an album with Brian Fucking Eno. I would recommend him to sound enjoyers.
