Fill up a Room! . . . FORTIS FORTUNA ADIUVAT . . Never one to acquiesce to things I can not accept. I become water. I begin to flood every avenue of thought to find a solution to my issue. My mental thought process to problem solving incorporates neural pathways. Which jump into action when similar stressor are applied. However your tried and true ways of achieving goals is not the only way. We have to stretch our imaginations to new heights. To create new solutions to old issues. So many won’t do this work. Hell, many won’t even read the steps to doing the work.😩😩😩. Its all part of the grand design however. We are all on different pages of the same book of life. Women in business rarely have time to wonder am I too much for this group? I am too knowledgeable and would be thought of as a know it all? A Foreign Born Black's Perspective

Butterflies, It is truly an exciting time to be alive! Change is on the horizon not only the nation can sense it. The entire world is actually holding its breath in anticipation. Yes, of course it’s about politics and race in America! The changing landscape of our country is very much a concern. It’s also about the nuances we are all seeing at the moment in media. Family, we have a lot to unpack right now. I would like to begin with the recent media announcement of a Presidential run by a foreign born Black Woman. Although, a Black Woman running for the highest office in our nation is historical and noteworthy. I will not take away the fact that this woman worked diligently. I get what “drives” a person when you are a first generation foreigner to America. I know what your family expects of you during your academic years. In High School you are being prepped for College. The pressure to succeed is great and usually there are a number of people depending on you, to do so. So, When I research and I find a pattern of cruelty towards communities most vulnerable. We can speculate what that is about. I am clear working in law enforcement, a person must be tough. I respect working from the inside and making a difference. In particularly, an arena that I doubt was welcoming. I thought the reason people dared to perform this work in the face of reprisal was to enact change. Not to bend to the will of the powerful. Naive, maybe. Here is where there is no speculation or illusion. When you are from the outside and you want to be in with the crowd. You show out the most, over exaggeration is your performance. Crude but accurate definition. This is a documented behavioral patterns. Artist KRS One dotted it out in the “Black Cop” rap. Knowing absolute power, corrupts absolutely. People lose their way. If we want to be hopeful here however I think not. I know people with this behavior and attitude towards people who are indigenous US citizens. The disdain is multi layered at times. The assumption of poverty or lack of education. The notion that your blackness is somehow the root of their angst. It’s colonial mental slavery, it plagues islanders. You have to be willing to do the work of research to get a overview of the social engineering going on at this moment. We are seeing it in it’s overt form with our foreign born newscasters maligning a political movement requesting recognition on the world stage. It is shameful however calculated and shrewd. We are experiencing ADOS people who work for the corporate media establishment siding with the misinformation of people using the hashtag were robots from Russia. Really, this is what you all are doing in 2019? wow, just wow but I digress. When you see people working on the behalf of ideology that is the antithesis of their best interest. It becomes yet another argument against the economic devastation leveled on this community. The mountain of articles already written against the platform by a large number of foreign born blacks openly performing these acts of desperation. So, willingly being used as a mouthpiece for a subject they have a personal experience of but not a world view on, nor having spent time doing due diligence as to why? It’s beyond cringe worthy. Where does that leave us foreign born allys? Why, I support the platform even though sometimes there is anti-Pan African conversation. I am here for maturity and growth. I to was among the “Why are you excluding me?” folk. When I first heard of the ADOS platform. I had to examined the various platforms discussing the issues. I read what the scholars had to say on the subject. I listen to economist detail how it would work, I did all this to grasp why people who looked like me were saying they needed their own distinction. Once I was able to understand what was done truly to this community. The survivalist in me spoke. It is in our best interest to stand with the ADOS community. It’s a political movement that is looking to improve the status of its people. We should be for it. When African Americans get protective status in America. Why would that not benefit me? When people lash out at us it’s not because we are from one nation or the other it’s because of identity. I for one would like relief from race soldiers. Anyone wanting to do harm not because I deserve punishment but because I look the part. No, thank you. I rather assist in my own little way. Writing to other foreign born first and second generation Blacks to do your due diligence on this matter. Be mature enough to look past rhetoric that may not be welcoming. It’s not personal. I support the American Descendants of Slavery Movement. It makes absolute sense to me to support this agenda and the people doing the work. To bring you the statistical numbers, facts and real time consequences of life in America at an economic disadvantage that was created by design. This issue will be on the table for discussion this Presidential election season because the global community understands the human rights violations our community is suffering. There is global backing for the agenda, they have a grassroots network, They are organized! Understanding this is not an issue that is going away. America can not move forward without addressing reparations for the people who were injured by deliberate acts of suppression by our Government.
