His head tilted toward the person next to him catching their smirk. Still he continued his stretching. “Hey don’t give me that look. It pays to stretch, and i want to be ready if I’m going to win that prize” He motions to one of the games in front of him. He caught sight of the prize ahead of him on the top shelf and he was determined with win it.

Watching Kyle as she had been watching most people playing the games tonight she couldn’t help but smile as he started to stretch. “No judgement here. I’ve just been watching people who are playing these games for awhile now and you’re the first one whose stretched. Maybe that’s the key.”

So, she was afraid of heights. Who even cared? Valeria rolled her eyes as the kids behind her in line continued to yell about how awesome the ride was going to be. Still, her friends where nowhere to be found and the line continued to move until finally, it was her turn. The brunette looked around and when the man handling the ride shot her a dirty look she decided to go on anyway. With a heavy sigh, she took a seat, locking eyes with the person next to her for a brief second. “These things are like secure and stuff right? They check them?”

As the other girl sat at her side and glanced over Nix honed in through the sugar high and attempted to pay attention. She was giddy with childlike glee. Something she had never really experienced as a child. “Well they set them up all the time so I think they’re pretty well experienced with how to do it correctly,” she offered with a slight shrug. She didn’t truly know other than knowing that festival rides where used on and off constantly and that was the extent of her knowledge. “I mean I’m not worried if that helps.”

     “Ah, yes, I’m horrible, I know,” Daehyun mumbled, his voice lacking most of its sympathy as Samuel — his currently screaming three year old — collapsed against his leg in tears, his little hands gripping his jeans with all of the force he could muster. As he noticed that a majority of the people around him were openly staring, he resisted the urge to roll his eyes at them and instead leaned down to pick Samuel up from under the arms. The boy immediately stuffed his face into his neck, though his cries were no quieter. “Tell me all about it, 사자.” Daehyun turned to the first person he could, an apology already on his tongue. “I’m sorry, he’s — he’s been snotty all day, but it seems that watching his sister go on the rides he’s too small for was his breaking point. He’ll calm down eventually —” he chuckled, “— hopefully.”

With plenty of screaming children at the festival it surprised Nix when she caught quite a few people staring at one. She moved through them to approach and was about to try her hand at saying hello when the man with the child spoke first. “You don’t have to apologize. He’s a kid. These people are not very smart if they came here thinking that they would get a nice quiet time,” Nix replied making sure to raise her voice as she gave the crowd a pointed look. A few of them averted their eyes and others walked off. Turning back to the both of them she held out her hand to the little boy to get his attention. “Hello little one. I’m Nix. Would you like to play a game?”

“Three balls for five dollars, Champ,” muttered the carny with a dark mustache that seemed much more fitting for a gunslinger from the wild wild west than this little hustle he was currently employed in. Gabe knew these games were rigged, but he was in an unusually good mood and he always did have a good arm. A few silver milk bottles hit the floor, which meant he had earned himself one of the small prizes (unless of course he felt so inclined to spend ten dollar more) - a little stuffed bumblebee he would have absolutely no use for. “This is all yours if you want it.” A snort left his throat as he handed the stuffed animal over.  “Ya see, I have a rep to protect.”

With a large stuffed animal tied to the bag slung across her body Nix was perusing the games. She watched as others played noting their techniques just to see if she could replicate them. Seeing someone knock over the milk bottles she moved in closer only to find a familiar face. As he held out the bumblebee she smirked. “Thanks. Though I am curious how a bumblebee could affect a reputation like yours. It’s awfully reputable and he’s just so small.”

“If it were by me, I’d be doing that right this second… Unfortunately for me, I have a pretty tight agenda today, and I’ll be suffering until I get home.“

“Man that sucks. You sure you can’t just play hooky for the day? Like is this stuff really important adult stuff or like the kind that can be rescheduled?”

Camilla raised a brow at the customer before her. It was early in the evening, and therefore slow, so she’d been waiting on the customer in front of her to give their order, but they seemed in a daze, even though they’d just waved her over. “Are you going to order something, or continue to stare off into space?” Although Cami was slightly annoyed, she tried to keep a smile on her face and a charming tone.

Overhearing the bartender Nix glanced over to see if the person beside her was still the same. It was and prompted an eye roll as she locked eyes with the bartender. “Apparently went through a nasty breakup or so I overheard. I think they might have finally melted into the dissociating phase.”

“Alright–hypothetically speaking…” Jayden turned his attention away from his phone and towards the person standing the nearest to him. “What does one do when they have a day off? It’s for science.”

“Oh my gosh! You’re joking right? You’ve got to be joking,” Nix answered her tone filled with genuine surprise and amusement. “Boy have you got some great free time in store for you! First things first. People or no people? As in do you wanna deal with them or not?”

“Ugh, it’s one of those days I just wanna lay on my couch and shove pizza into my mouth,“ he exclaimed, frustrated, to no one in particular. The day had just begun for him but Miles wanted it to end already.

“See you could look at it that way or you could focus on the sitting on the couch and shoving pizza in your face part, which sounds pretty damn great to me.”

I find a lot of people attractive. I don’t really do crushes. It’s a bit juvenile. If I like someone they know. I do have someone I think I may have loved and may still but that’s pretty complicated. 

Nebula: If you could undo one thing in your life, what would it be?

“I don’t know how I feel about all the construction near Birdridge,” Hari began. He was in the line to pay at the grocery store, and had struck up conversation with the person behind him. “The noises are just annoying, and not what I paid for.” Not to sound like a rich person complaining, but that’s just who Hari was. 

The awkward conversation was tolerable, barely, but as soon as the guy started complaining about construction noises in the rich neighborhood she let out a yawn. “Hate to burst your bubble but some people listen to gunshots every night. Try that and then you can come complain to me again. Or like pay more since that seems to be no big deal for you.”

“But I was only gonna rob you because I wanted those heels,” she said, letting out a pretended sigh of disappointment. “I won’t rob you if you tell me where did you buy them.” Eleanor offered the other girl a wide smile.

“Girl I can do you one better I know the designer personally,” Nix offered as she reached for her phone. “To make this less creepy I’m Nix. What’s your number I’ll send you the website but I’ll also get you that friendship discount.”

He shrugs faintly and sighs. “Alright fine so you’re saying you’re sorry. That’s good and I’m glad you’re being serious. I’m just going to go get another link”

“Yeah man you do you. I’ll be on my way now,” Nix replied with an exaggerated amount of excitement and a weird salute.

“So formal. My full name makes me feel like I’m in trouble,” Nix commented before seeing his look and holding up her hand to wave off any panic. “I have a bad track record. I just was trying to play it safe. But like I was also trying to be serious you know.”

Ethan was walking his dog along the beach when it took off and he quickly jogged after it and found it sitting looking up at someone. “ Sorry.. He loves to meet new people. He wanted to come and say hi.”

Taking advantage of the fact that she had a night job Nix was enjoying the weather out on the beach when the dog suddenly bounded up to her. At first she wasn’t sure where it had come from but she dropped down to his level almost immediately. “Oh hello sweetie. Where did you come from,” Nix cooed before seeing movement once more and standing as the guy came jogging after. “Oh it’s totally alright. I also love meeting new people and new puppies so that works just fine for me! What’s his name?”
