I will always love you

Tony wanders into the living room. He sees Pepper sitting on the couch working on her laptop. She looks so pretty in her white dress Tony thinks before he walks into the kitchen and grabs a sandwich from the fridge. He walks back to the living room and slumps on the sofa next to Pepper. She turns to face him before asking “Not in a hurry to your workshop Starks?” “Why would I be in a hurry anywhere?” He asks a playful smile playing on his lips as he moves a bit closer to her on the sofa. “Because your Iron man.” She retorts not looking at him. A sad pout appears on Tony's face as he grabs Pepper's hand gently. “I will always have time for you Pepper.” He says looking at her sincerely. She finally turns to look at him, but before she can say anything, he had brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it. “You know you all I have.”  She can only blush and answer “You too.”

Next day

Tony is talking on the phone when he sees Pepper slumped on the floor, next to his office. She looks so tired and her eyes are black from smudged mascara. She is wearing a neat sweater and white jeans, with black designer heels.  He quickly hangs up and walks out of his office to kneel next to her on the floor. “What's wrong Pepper?” He askes, worry prominent in his eyes. Pepper starts crying even louder. Tony sits down next to her and lifts her chin up so she would look at him. Her eyes are full of sorrow when they meet his. She finally speaks, sobbing as she does. "I can't do this anymore." "What can't you do anymore?"He asks. "This whole thing." She waves at the room. "Iron man, the press, the long nights, the worry and stress and worst of all..." she starts sobbing still louder. "Pepper please tell me." He pleads desperately. "I  can't.." She says looking down at the floor. He lifts her chin up again. Their eyes lock. "You know you can tell me anything, Pepper." He says. Pepper finally gives up and says "Oh Tony it´s because I love you, and it kills me to see you all day and every day and never be able to be with you!" She finally stops crying and keeps looking at him with those sky blue eyes. "Oh Pepper!" Tony says hugging her tightly and kissing her forehead. "I love you too!" Now they both start crying. After a moment Pepper lifts her head from Tony's shoulder and looks him in the eyes. "Thank you, Stark." She smiles sweetly. He just gazes into her beautiful eyes stroking his tomb lovingly over her cheek. "No need to thank me, I´ve always loved you, Pepper. Since the day I first saw you." Then he leans in and softly kisses her lips.
