The Olympics and me

Rio de Janeiro, Sept 2016 -

The Olympic Games, what an experience. As my time at the rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee comes to an end I reflect on this: 

Sleep depravation started 6 days before the Games started. Went to the venues, inspected the equipment, started the athlete interviews...the team arrived!! Start the headshots, continue the athlete interviews for the daily show, multiple hard drives, multiple headaches; prepare workshops, don’t attend them cause of lack of time; talk to field talent, ensure all field cameras are ready...GAMES BEGIN! Lock down at master control, making over 10,000 headshots, fix ideas for the daily show that are not working, go to the venues to film; watch an awesome triple silver medal ceremony at swimming, say hello to Phelps; watch a show, stand on the coolest ramp of all sports, endure 40 degree temperatures but get to see some show jumping, celebrate a birthday or two, or three! Perform the of the craziest parallel parking; go to the football final at Maracana to do some more filming, watch Brazil win gold in their beloved sport, made some AMAZING friends, enjoyed the closing ceremony with them.
