Another year basically!!
Is anyone surprised?
I’m pretty sure today marked the date that this place was supposed to sink or something; it’s what I’ve been hearing
I haven’t kept a tally on how many times I gotten sick this year, but it’s probably close to five, including right now. Everything is achy and my nose is grossly congested, but I’ve had plenty of rest today so MAYBE it’ll be outta my system in a day or two.
Let’s see, some highlights-- I stepped out of my comfort zone, I reestablished certain ties, found new ones-- I GOT TO WATCH MY KING PERFORM OH MY GOD I AM IN LOVE. I sobbed, I recorded, I sung, all thanks to one of my bestest friends. We had a weekend trip and everything. I used to think his car was super comfy to sleep in but I think we both learned that it’s not the case after a concert, oh boY. Like, a two hour nap doesn’t compare to attempting to sleep a night’s worth LMAO. who woulda thunk?
Oh, on the topic of best friends--She graduated!!!! She’s back and better than ever. She’s so driven and gorgeous, I’m so proud of her; she grew so much in such a short amount of time. We still gush about how far she’s come. It’s like, she was obviously an adult back in uni, but now she’s her own person. It’s amazing. I’m so proud of her. I really, really, really, realllly missed her.
I also got a good taste of some new faces; it makes me happy to know that things can be established and restored, friendships, and stuff.
And, I mean, sometimes it’s better to keep things apart? I learned that too! It can be applied to anything, I s’pose ;P
I got back into the game earlier this year, and I think I’m ready to keep playing. This was a good warm up because it was super easy to forget how things work, honestly. For a while, I had a lot of time to stew in my own head and it’s like learning how to walk all over again.
I still have my New Year’ resolution list up on my wall. I don’t think I’ve touched it at all-- like, crossing things out and stuff-- but I’ve definitely tackled a good portion of it, just because the items are listed were prevalent and still are.
ANd, I mean, it’s still 2018, I still have time!
Cheers to hopefully feeling loads better tomorrow. I’m not sure what the plan is exactly but I’ll probably be outside for a good portion of it and I just hope my sinuses are up for the adventure.
