often a waste of time to poke too much at the canon linguistics of the elder scrolls because they've never been remotely consistent, but I do think it's interesting that the words for stone and power overlap. I feel like you can also see something fun in bala (as in power) and mala (affection most often, also "know" as in tu) by mutation

of course, down that line of thinking, you could do something with molag bal's name (this is not canon, do not cite this) and construct it as mala-adabal(a), for sense of the love-through-power god
