6 Items A Day

An art piece a day keeps the boredom away. After searching and searching for inspiration to help me make my portfolio, i decided to take everything around me (it is a lot, always!) as inspiration and put it to good use. I choose 6 items, that describe my day, and portray those in all the ways imaginable

13-01-2017 Used watercolor paint from a tube for the first time. Used paint first, then outlined it with fineliner. (Fineliner doesn't like it). Tried to outline with sepia colored ink but ink spreads to quickly (hence the stains on the doll). Mail: finally received the package I'd been waiting for. Doll: a new project of mine i'll be working on. Markers: bought new markers at the flying tiger and I am in love with them! (See 12-01-2017) Leaf logo: the logo for my favorite game, Animal Crossing. With a friend I collectes the moest epic and rare items imaginable today. Snowwhite & Apple: watched snowwhite and the huntsman 1 with boyfriend. Not a fan of my own drawing, but a big fan of the movie. Envelope & Card: when picking up my package, I had to wait quite a long time because the mail clerk couldn't find it. I looked around the store and found THE PERFECT valentines day card for Rick. A bit early but so very worth it! (See 14-02-2017 for the card.)

Today is my two year anniversary with Rick ❤️

Used pencil to sketch items, fineliner for the outlines and markers to color it in.

Desert: delicious steames pears, whipped cream with cinnamon and cinnamon ice cream.

Heart: traditional dutch “boterkoek” we received from the restaurant we had dinner at with our dessert because we had something to celebrate.

Keycord: my work keycord with an animal crossing charm and “eitje”. (which is the key to the employees only areas)

Makeup: the makeup and bobby pins I wore to make myself look prettier for my dinner date.

Screwdriver & Tiny screws: at work I had to de-assemble a big drone, it had around 50 tiny screws and drew me nuts.

Fresh mint tea: every date with Rick, I drink fresh mint tea because it reminds me of our first date. I was so nervous, I kept using the spoon to constantly press down the leaves.. Rick told me: “you don’t have to kill them?” And I got really embaressed at the time.

11-01-2017 Used pencil to sketch the items, drew the outline with fineliner and colored in with pastel pencils. I am ill today, bad sushi poisoning.. Toast: the only food I am able to eat. Nintendo 3DS: played animal crossing on the couch with a blanket all day. Socks: my fluffy "i am ill and wont leave the house" socks. Jess: watched the series New Girl with boyfriend. Bottle of Pear juice: mixed with water, the only thing i've been drinking today. Trashbags & Cardboard box: we failed to take out the trash again today... And the truck only comes to pick it up once every two weeks..
