fresh.
Freshly out of a loving relationship
okay?
fresh.
God, you’re so pretty
you’re prettier <3
fresh.
Sparrow typically avoided bars on Friday nights, he wasn’t a huge fan of the noise, but it definitely felt like a safer option than inviting the couple over to his place. The couple. He hates that, he hated the guilt that swelled in his chest at the thought of it. The relationship Eve and Acid shared was a bit of a mystery to him, even now he didn’t know much about it, how they worked together. Though he was pretty certain now it was very much meant to be a closed one. He felt very much like he was intruding.
The three of them sit at a table in the corner of the room, he fidgets with the sleeves of his sweater as they wait for a bartender to approach them, leaving the couple to talk amongst themselves for a few moments before he feels like it’s impolite to not join in.
“So, um. Acid, what do you do for work?” He asks, the words sound awkward and forced leaving his mouth but their the best he can do.
Sparrow glances around for the bartender, he’s walking over now. Hopefully, he can get away with bailing out on this after a drink or two.

Eve had never been at this place. Quite honestly, she didn’t even know the name of the business they were in. But ever since Sparrow found out about Acid, and Eve technically finding out about about Acid again, life’s been slow. She needed a change of scene. Genevieve really needed a drink. She only drank various wines and champagnes, never liquor or beer. She wanted out of this endless cycle of nothingness.
Gen walks in, Acid’s arm around her waist, heels clicking against the tile flooring. The smell of smoke and whatever else was in the air hit her like a brick wall. It was much more intense than anything she’d been around before. Maybe it was the adrenaline flooding her veins because the two men she was out with were not a totally ideal pair but she put this upon herself. They sat at a table and almost instantly, she noticed Sparrow get fidgety. Eve wished she could calm him down. But right now, she couldn’t.
The question Sparrow asked seemed so awkward. Like he didn’t want to ask but needed to. The tension was so thick but Acid wasn’t even aware of why there was tension. Must be nice, Eve thought.
@fosterkidonacid
Acid had a shitty week. Nothing worse than the Foster’s normal, but shitty nonetheless. Bills were pilling up, and holidays were coming to an end. The Foster’s didn’t have much, it was known to practically everyone, but that never stopped Acid from trying to give his siblings the holiday they deserved. Even when it pushed them back further into debt. That alone was enough to push him to go on tour. Six months, shitty hotel rooms and a million things he’d have to fix once he got home. But it was worth it. His siblings opened presents, decorated a tree. The whole nine.
And while he was exhausted, he was happy. Even more so every time he saw his girlfriend. With a tired smile clung to his lips, he walked in with her, his eyes drifting through the bar in search for Sparrow. Acid had never been the way he was with Eve. He trusted her fully, loved her more. He knew Sparrow and her were friends, it hadn’t bothered him, either. He was happy Eve had people making her happy.
Mumbling a sweet ‘hi’, he sat down. “A lot of things.” He laughed, shrugging off his jacket. “My focus is music, right now.” He answered, looking at Sparrow. He noticed how the other man was fidgety, and he thought it had to do with anxiety.
“You okay, Sparrow?” He asked, his voice soft. He had a caring look in his eyes, wanting to make sure the other was okay.
@anctherlcve
Sparrow never should’ve come, he should’ve made up some excuse to get him out of this, but he wasn’t a good liar and he was certain one of them would’ve seen right through it if he had. Acids kind eyes burned into him, he looked so genuinely concerned for Sparrow that the brunette couldn’t help but shift under the weight of the eye contact between them. He wanted to break it, but couldn’t.
Sparrow nods his head, his voice feels lodged in his throat and he has to clear it a bit before he speaks. “I’m okay, the noise puts me a bit on edge. Music? Do you do vocals or play an instrument?” He asks, a little less awkward this time, bordering on just common politeness.
As he’s waiting for the blonde to answer, the bartender approaches, glances between him and Eve and then, much to Sparrow’s surprise, looks curiously at Acid. Like, he’s an extra piece to a puzzle she thought she’d already solved. “I haven’t seen you two in here for a while.” Her words may not have been accusing, but they sure as hell sound that way to Sparrow now. He chokes on nothing but air, diverting his eyes from both the bartender and the couple.
@noadam-alleve
Eve was listening to their conversation, not paying attention to anything else, fiddling with the small cuff earring she had got from Acid for Christmas. Especially not the bartender who was standing right next to the table, she didn’t feel the want to, her head was already pounding from nerves. Serious nerves that we’re definitely saying, get up. Leave. But she stayed, trying to cause the least amount of commotion she could. Sparrow seemed too nervous, he was asking questions, but making small talk. That steered away from anything too revealing.
The brunette female watched as Sparrow acted like he’d never talked to another human being before. Like he was scared of something they both promised wouldn’t come out…She wanted comfort him but also wanted to strangle him. Which is something she never wanted to do, but she was afraid.
Genevieve should’ve known, she shouldn’t have even came out with Sparrow and Acid at the same time. Hearing the bartender say those 10 words made her absolutely sick to her stomach. Her eyes widen, it was a habit she’s never going to outgrow. She swallows, not knowing how she’s even supposed to reply to that. “What?” She choked out.
