The cat Patisson returns home from a night walk
There was a star riding through clouds one night, & I said to the star, 'Consume me'.
-Virginia Woolf
In 1963, while doing renovations on his home, a man broke through an exterior bedroom wall in his home and discovered a tunnel entrance. What he found behind that wall stunned historians, archeologists and the world. The lost ancient underground city of Derinkuyu had been discovered. A multilevel series of rooms, carved from the soft volcanic rock in the Cappadocia region of Turkey, Derinkuyu extends to a depth of over 200ft. Believed to have been constructed by the Phrygians, an Indo-European people originally from the Balkan region, it dates back to the 8th Century BCE. Capable of holding up to 20,000 people, Derinkuyu had rooms for food stores, livestock, schools, kitchens, living and sleeping quarters and sanitary facilities. Small tunnels carved up to the surface allowed ventilation throughout the city. Entrance tunnels were carefully hidden in the hills surrounding Derinkuyu and connected to the city. One of these tunnels were discovered in 1963 when workers removed the bedroom wall. It is believed the city was originally carved as an escape from marauding Arab armies in 9th Century BCE and continued over the next several hundred years. The city was used often as a refuge during the Byzantine Era of the 5th through the 10 Century CE.
"A little while alone in your room will prove more valuable than anything else that could ever be given you." Rumi
How do you remind someone who is numb from depression, that your love is stronger? How do you beg them to stay, while respecting them needing space?
"What is meant to be, will be"
Its not good enough for me, because the idea of not having forever with him tears my heart from my chest and the air from my lungs causing me to slowly suffocate in the most devastating way.
I fear the loneliness that could be the result of this, because I know that no one can take his place.
I love him the way you read about in stories and I don't know how I got him to love me in the first place let alone how I will again if he allows me to.
What do you do when the person you love is in too dark of a place to love you back?
Wow this is so powerful ♥️
“I’m on tumblr all the time because i need constant reassurance that i’m not the only one failing at life.”

Maybe not failing but definitely challenged ♥️
“You don’t have to have it all figured out at 21, or 30, or even 40. You’ll bloom when you’re ready. The only thing that matters is never giving up.”
— Aaron Mahnke
Or 55 yr 10 mo - flowering as we speak ♥️
Great day hiking along the south fork river in Belmont NC.
“Don’t wait around for others to experience life with you. Take the lead, go out, and get the most out of life. Eventually, you’ll have more company than you can handle.”
— Unknown
You do not need to experience gender dysphoria in order to be trans! However, living within a gender binary system that denies and actively harms us for claiming our expansive identities can cause levels of psychological distress. It can be a feeling of distaste or disassociation from certain body parts, or it might cause you to dress in a particular way, to camouflage parts of your body you can’t stand or want others to see. We want you to know that you are loved and valid in all the ways you exist. Not all of us experience the negative aspects of gender, but all of us deserve to know what it’s like to feel “right” in our bodies. You deserve a space to explore and experiment with names, pronouns, expressions, and modifications on your journey to find your own sense of home. Read more about gender dysphoria & euphoria on our blog (getplume.co/blog)!
Mark Hamill’s autographs are hilarious
Photographer Gunarto Song captured a remarkable photo of a meteor falling “into” a volcano ( Mount Merapi, the most active volcano in Indonesia), and the resulting shot looks like there’s a green beam of light shooting up from the crater. (SOURCE)

This is super cool 😎
Laid Bare
Let me gather myself.
Look.
I've fallen
Scattered amongst sand,
Parched ground breaking
Into frazzled droplets
Of unbridled rage.
Watch,
As I teeter on the edge
While my arms wilt away
And fingers
Which had once reached out
Break down like petals
After a waning sun on a scorching day.
Sway
Will you?
My grief
Can't be kept in a box.
It seeps into famished cracks
It's fluid, it's warm, it's the end and it's the horizon that fairytales talk about.
Talk
I try.
My breath stifles tongue
Hot & rancid
I want to jab jab jab
My words.
I brushed them away
Into neat folded parchment.
Speak.
When you find
An alphabet
Bursting out through the blood & sinew
Of your own broken heart.
Intense but really nice ♥️
