How To Bulk Up Like The Rock
Think you can handle the training regimen of Dwayne Johnson? Follow these steps to start building mass and taking names.
Eat Healthy!
You’ll want to ditch those weekend beers and sweets at the office. Start with a small detox of fruits and vegetables. After a week of a new, slimmed down diet move to adding more protein into your daily meal plan. You’ll thank yourself when the time comes to build mass.
Get Some Sleep
The first thing you’ll notice once you decide to take on the schedule of this A-lister is that energy is spent…FAST! Be sure to get around 8 to 9 hours of heavy, restful sleep. Your muscle growth will stall without proper care and rest.
Buy A Rooster
Weird, we know. But this is a crucial step. A rooster wakes up before the world has started and that’s the best time to hit the gym. The first few mornings are going to be rough but trust us, it’s worth it.
Let The Rooster Roam Free
The rooster will want to get a lay of the land. Make sure it has adequate access to the whole house or apartment. Set out food and water and let it know you there for it. This care will pay tenfold when it comes time to wake up with the rooster.
Wake up!
No snooze buttons here. The rooster is awake and “cockadoodle doo’ing.” Time to get up and feed it. Here comes the tricky part, you let it roam free, so now you have to catch it.
Focus On The Legs
You’re going to be bending down a lot to see if the rooster is under the bed, couch, or any other small spaces it could fit into. Take this time to focus on squat reps and make sure that rooster crow.
Cardio Is A Must
Oh! We think we saw it over there. Oh, wait! No! There it is! Get it! Get it! Get it! Don’t hurt it. Get it!
Arm Reps Are Your New Best Friend
You’re going to have to move heavy bookshelves and couches in order to make a good makeshift barrier to try and catch the rooster. If the furniture prison you’ve constructed is good enough that rooster isn’t going anywhere and you can feed it and hopefully stop the crowing. Remember you probably have neighbors that aren’t trying to get jacked like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, so you’ve gotta hurry.
Tired Yet?
You’ve caught it! It has its slice of bread and is ready to calm down for the morning. Wuh-oh! You lost your grip and it’s back on the loose. The piece of bread only fueled its crowing.
Do five more reps of this. Dig deep!
Results
After about three weeks of spending every morning chasing a rooster around your home or apartment you should start seeing noticeable results.
