((I promise I am still here, I am just slow. I think I am going to keep this blog on low activity. I am trying to be here when I can, and I still love panther dad dearly, but I’ve been mostly hanging out and focusing on my other Disney muse as of late. Tomorrow, classes resume for me as well, so I may be a bit less active on here, but will try to be here when I can whenever I am able. Thanks, as always, for being patient with me!))

The forest Bagheera entered was very different from the one he called home. Where Bagheera lived in a jungle, this was a more deciduous forest, like one would find in Europe.
But this was no place on Earth; instead, this was the primordial forest known as the Pink Plant Woods, and it was part of a world called The Glade of Dreams.
As luck would have it, someone had been snoozing in the branches of one of the nearby trees, so they definitely heard Bagheera calling out.
That someone hopped down: a very unusual humanoid, with a bulbous nose, a mess of blonde hair erupting from his head, and big, expressive eyes. He seemed to be wearing a purple shirt with a red hood, white gloves on his hands, and yellow-and-white shoes on his feet. But the most striking thing about this character’s appearance was the fact that he had no limbs or neck! Instead, his torso floated above his feet, and above that floated his head, while on either side of hos torso floated his hands.
Bagheera surely had never seen anything like this fellow before?
Fortunately, he seemed friendly enough, introducing himself, “Hey there! Rayman’s the name. What’s yours?”
The foliage that enveloped this forested place contrasted greatly to that which grew in the dense jungle of Bagheera’s home. Yet the panther padded forward cautiously, his golden gaze searching the area for some signs of local inhabitants. Namely, one that would be willing to help him get back home. The solution to his problem soon presented itself in the form of a strange creature. One that had been snoozing in a tree, and now stood before the jungle cat. The appearance of this humanoid did indeed startled Bagheera. Who stopped abruptly in his tracks, the fur along his back standing on end while his eyes grew very wide. But upon noticing that this person, or whoever he was, meant him no harm and appeared very friendly, the panther was able to relax. “Ah, hello there.” Bagheera replied, managing a small smile. “My name is Bagheera. I appear to be lost. Would you be so kind as to tell me where I am?”

Mufasa did not immediately recognize the black shape from the ledge he was perched on, so his first thought was Kimya. For all the leopard’s arrogance and obsession with revenge, the king had not thought him stupid enough to approach Pride Rock in broad daylight. The fur on the back of his neck bristled, but when the leopard was close enough that Mufasa could clearly see his friendly features, the lion relaxed and offered a warm smile.
“Indeed. This is a most pleasant surprise. What brings you back to the Pridelands, Bagheera?”
Resembling a certain vicious enemy of the Pridelands had caused confusion before, and had even endangered the jungle cat at times. But now he was grateful that his presence was better known now so that such mistakes could be avoided. Bagheera grinned wider upon seeing Mufasa smile with warmth similar to that of the sun. The panther quickened his pace as he trotted up to pride rock, bounding up a few lower ledges to respectfully take his own perch beneath that of the King’s. He sat back on his haunches, tilting his head back to glance up at the regal lion with admiration, a friendly composure on his face.
“Well, it has been such a long time since my last visit. I thought it best to return, to see that you and your pride are keeping well and staying safe.” Of course, there was reason behind this as well. Ever one to care deeply about others, he feared that something bad would happen with Kimya being a constant threat. Perhaps, he could help in some way.

Strange things were not unheard of in the jungle. But the odd appearance of an unusual spiral doorway had warranted further investigation. The jungle animals have never seen nor witnessed a portal before, so when Bagheera passed through and found himself in strange new surroundings on the other side, he was very surprised indeed. The panther glanced around, eyes wide in confusion. He hoped to spot someone, anyone, who might provide some explanation of where he was or how to get home. “Hello?” He called out with caution. “Is there anyone here?”
“Here is a riddle, to guess if you can, sing the bells of Notre Dame, what makes a monster and what makes a man?”

During the morning of a brand new day in the jungle, Bagheera set out to find Mowgli. After prowling about in search of him, he finally found where the young mancub currently resided. Upon spotting him, the panther approached with a smile. “Good morning, Mowgli.” He greeted, padding closer to investigate what the boy was doing. Even though he tended to be ruled more by practicality and reason, this didn’t mean he was entirely opposed to fun. So long as the activities at hand were perfectly safe, of course. “Now, what are you up to?” He asked, peering over the mancub’s shoulder with genuine interest and curiosity.

It was another such day when Bagheera had strayed from his jungle home and returned to the Pridelands for a visit. The hot African sun beat against his sleek black pelt. The ground underfoot was warm and mildly uncomfortable. But he didn’t seem to mind much, having experienced these things before. He approached Pride Rock, golden eyes searching for the King himself. When he would eventually come face to face with his maned friend, who he had pleasantly convened with before, it would bring a smile to his muzzle. “Mufasa,” He began. “How wonderful it is to see you again, sire. It has been awhile, has it not?”
Do you like cats? Particularly panthers, who always have some wisdom for you? Who may come across as bossy or a little too strict, but will always have your best interest at heart? Bagheera, the black panther, is all of these things and more! He may be primarily ruled by his logical mind, and have little interest in nonsense. But beneath that chest of shadowy velvet hide is a heart of gold.

((It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here, but I’m going to try to pick things up slowly again. I still have things to work on irl, especially a particularly ambitious writing project which is a top priority for me, so I will most likely be fairly low activity on here. But I will put in spare time as it comes. I think I am going to try out the new Disney muse I mentioned earlier, and will share the link to that once the blog is ready. So, feel free to keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, I’ll soon put out a starter call to get some new threads going! Feel free to reach out if you want to plot!))
((HELLO!!
It’s been far too long! Wow! It’s been over a whole year! I know, I can hardly believe it myself. I’ve been bouncing around, trying out new muses, done some stuff in the real world! Now, I’ve decided to come back here! Because I love our panther dad and have had some lovely writing experiences on here. I’m still considering making a full return and even considering making an additional account for a new additional Disney muse, but first, who’s still around? Anyone still here after all this time? I’ve missed you folks!))
{🔥}—; The little dragon was quick to move, even with his best friend Sparx’s steady protection he’d rather not get trampled over so he moved out of the way. Heading in the direction that Bagheera was leading him too, his little legs able to carry him at a very quick pace. After all he wasn’t considered to be quite possibly the fastest dragon in the Dragon Realms for nothing.
Once they were back on a safer path, he dug his heels into the ground and came to a stop right beside the big cat. “So, now that that’s all taken care of we better keep movin’. I gotta ask though, you did tell me about those two guys, Kaa and Shere Kahn. Do they have some kind of territory they’re in charge of or anythin’ like that? So I know to watch out for ‘em if we go ‘round there?”
Much to his relief, his little companion had no trouble keeping up. In fact, they had both made it to safety and out of harm's way. Only then was Bagheera able to breath easily, and the big cat let out a sigh of relief. He glanced at Spyro, glad to see that his friend had not been injured along the way.
Having come to a halt as well, he nodded in agreement. "Yes, we really ought to keep moving." Stated the panther with a flick of his tail. Although he paused as Spyro asked about the two enemies he had previously warned the dragon about. His expression became mildly serious as he raised his chin and delivered an explanation. "Well, Kaa mostly keeps to the trees and rarely travels the ground. We should be safe from him, so long as we remain here. As for Shere Khan, the tiger is more elusive and travels the jungle as he pleases. We will have to be wary of him."
Oliver yawned, he was a young eight year old boy. He had been living in the jungle for as long as he could remember. He slowly got up and stretched as he was wearing his lioncloth. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He went over to the river to get some water as he was thirsty.
With the sunlight peeking through the jungle foliage, warming the lush surroundings with its bright rays, a certain panther was heading towards the river as well. He paused mid-stride to stretch his lean body, sticking out one leg behind him. His long tail swished and swayed behind his frame as he moved. Placing one black paw in front of the other, Bagheera soon found himself at the river as well. He approached the edge of the bank, dipping his head to lap up some of the water and take a drink. The small figure of Oliver nearby caught the attention of his yellowish gaze, and the big cat soon perked up at the sight of the child. A smile formed on his maw as he approached the man-cub, pleasantly addressing Oliver. “Good morning, Oliver. It is good to see you on this fine day.”
Oliver smiled at Bagheera as he nodded “ its good to see you to.” He said as he went over to gently wrap his arms in a gentle hug around his neck while petting him. He was close to Bagheera, he was the one who found him and ever since he saw him like a father figure “ I hoping you are well to father.” He said softly as he then let go of his embrace.
With the man-cub embracing the panther’s neck, Bagheera gently leaned against Oliver affectionately. Of course, the big cat was very careful as to not knock the boy off his feet. He beamed at the child, the smile on his muzzle widening as he was called father by the cub. There was pride in his golden gaze as he cheerfully responded. “Why, I am quite well. Thank you, dear one.” He purred. “Are you prepared for today’s teachings?”
Oliver let go of the embrace as he nodded, he was eager for more of his father’s teachings. He had learned a lot from him “ yes father. I’m ready to learn.” He said “ where are we going today?” He asked curiously as his heart pounded with excitement.
Bagheera nodded in satisfaction. He was equally excited to share his wisdom and the teachings of the jungle with his young cub. A gleam of excitement flickered in his yellowish eyes as he smiled at the child. "You will see. Climb on, there is much to learn." He said, crouching down so that Oliver may climb on his back.
