This scene legit had me shook. I’ve never really seen anything like this in any show before. Hanako confessed his ‘love’ for Yashiro in order to defeat a rumor in the school. Yashiro thought it was an honest confession, having worked herself up for at least two days, only to find out it wasn’t true.

She’s hurt. She’s upset, and rightfully so. She felt purposefully lead on and made herself worked up. And then for all of it to be fake? It hurts. I’ve never had it happen to me in a romantic way, but the feeling of emotionally preparing yourself, only for what you’ve been preparing for to never come is a lot to handle.

But then, Hanako doesn’t make fun of her for it. He’s genuinely shocked and confused with her reaction. He’s a cocky asshole with a shit eating grin, but he doesn’t want to ACTUALLY hurt anyone, least of all someone he considered a friend. So he appologies.

No jokes. No tricks. Just two people being honest after miscommunication. It’s so refreshing to see something so open and genuine. If I wasn’t invested before, I certainly am now.

I just watched the first episode of jibaku shounen hanako kun and it was so cooool the animation is really pretty and the voices matches very well ( they are so cuuute💞🥺😔)

BUT

I watched the ending and omg I’m so stressed. At he end we can see that yashiro is getting in the ‘underworld’ but she ends up on her fishform so she is pushed in the normal world within hanako and finally she turn into rain ??? Am I crazy or is it a metaphor???
