REBLOG TO SAVE BLOGS
As most of you already know, on May 13th Tumblr has decided to lock us all out of the site and make us change our passwords for safety reasons, without as much as letting us know about the overhaul in advance.
Now while for most this was no more of an issue than the minute lost on changing the password, many of us have stayed locked out. The problem here is that these blogs are tied to defunct e-mail addresses we no longer have access to, therefore changing the password is out of the question and so is logging in for, as it seems right now, ever.
Addressing the issue I have written to tumblr spport and got this reply:
How considerate, we are now supposed to throw away years of work on our blogs (MAIN BLOG AND ALL SIDEBLOGS), thousands of posts, original content, url and its reputation and of course ALL OF OUR FOLLOWERS, simply because Tumblr @staff failed to notify us on the matter.
However, there is still a possible solution.
As we can still use the Tumblr app, this hideous failure could be fixed by updating the Tumblr app with the option to change the e-mail address on mobile.
I shared this idea with Tumblr support as well but I was met with the answer that, i cite, ‘’the changes aren’t up to our department’’.
PLEASE REBLOG THIS WITH TAGS LIKE #STAFF AND #TUMBLR STAFF TO SPREAD THE WORD AND REACH THE MAKERS.
You screwed up big this time fellas, are you seriously letting it slide?
I find myself in a bizarre and frustrating predicament. When I created this blog in February 2012, I used an email account that was dedicated to the sole purpose of being linked to my Tumblr account. It’s never been a problem, but when I tried to check Tumblr on a desktop browser yesterday (where I was already signed in) I was prompted that it was time to update my password. This process led me to discover that dedicated email account had been irretrievably shut down due to inactivity. Tumblr’s (understandable) security policy towards this type of situation is to recommend the person let it go and start a new blog. They feel they can’t verify a person’s identity.
I get that. However, I have offered plenty of means of verification—including now the above photo of my very Google-able self, taken today, wearing the same hoodie and roller skating unicorn t-shirt I am wearing in the photo from a few months ago that appeared on the Nickelodeon post I just previously reblogged, in my very specific office (decorated with photos that I took and posted on my Tumblr photography blog), which can be seen in such posts as on February 1st, 2016, back before my email account was deleted.
How am I posting this if I am locked out, you might ask? Luckily I am still logged in to my mobile Tumblr app. However, as soon as I am inevitably and inadvertently forced to update or replace my phone, I’ll lose this tenuous and solitary connection to this blog. Tumblr Support has stopped responding to my emails, so I figured I should post something publicly while I can in the hopes that they may see this and help me out, and to say a preemptive goodbye to all of you in case my pathetic pleas and attempts fail to verify that I am in fact ME—who I’ve always been and will always be until I’m locked out of my corporeal form and deleted, like this account might be.
I’ve never disclosed how many “followers” I have on here before, but it would be a real shame to lose this connection to all 186,187 of you lovely people who took the time and interest to check out what I might have to say or show or support. If there really is nothing that can be done to rectify this shut out, then I’ll hang on and use this account as long as I can. If I vanish one day, know that I appreciated all your support and enthusiasm on here. And know that it also means I probably now own a phone that is too big for my pants pocket.
But hopefully this can be easily resolved and this will just be a weird, frustrating, little bump in my blogging road.
Love, Bryan
Tumblr Support Team Fail
I've had my account for almost 10 years now. Currently writing off my mobile app. I can't login on my computer because Tumblr decided it was time to reset my password. I don't have access to my old email address, well because 1. Its old and 2. That was my email address made in middleschool (totally unprofessional if you put it on a resume, lol) Tumblr won't give me the option NOT to change my password and Tumblr support team said there is nothing they can do about it. I just got a new phone and i wont have access to this phone in days time. This is unfair, I didnt choose for this. I shouldn't have to make a new account. So this is goodbye.

Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, ‘No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough.’ It’s going to bed at night thinking, ‘Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging.’

A gentle reminder that your heart is a muscle and so should be exercised regularly. Love often and love deeply.

you are not:
a burden: there’s a bucket of reasons why you should not feel like one. perhaps you’re overthinking, worried, or feeling down. but don’t ever feel like you’re being such a burden. you are part of the population. you are important. without you, this world would lose the opportunity to be changed in your own simple ways. you are necessary. you are loved and it’s okay to be your own priority.
a disappointment: you’re not! i’m proud of wherever you are right now. im proud of your progress; no matter how enormous or minute it might be. if you failed your test, it’s okay. if you didn’t win the competition, it’s alright. im pretty sure you did your best and it’s that part that will always matter. don’t let other people’s “what a shame” bring you down. YOU. ARE. NOT. A. SHAME. you are blooming in your own simple ways. and I am proud and happy for you. continue growing, aspiring, believing in yourself. i’m proud of you.
a weirdo: most definitely never a weirdo! if you like doing things that are quite different, that does not make you a weirdo. that makes you special and even more precious. it was such a perfect combination of atoms and dna that led to a beautiful creature that is you and oh dear god, you’re amazing. your way of thinking is creative and the way you do things is totally out of this world. you are beyond the things earthly. you are meant for greater things. and you are most definitely not a weirdo.
ugly: whoever said you were, should most definitely need to get their eyes checked. when was the last time they went to the eye doctor anyway? if there’s anything that i’d like to be, it is to be as beautiful and as bright as you, a total human version of sunshine. your eyes light up like a ray of sunlight, your lips are perfectly carved like cherries, and your noise is huge or small and it’s cute. most definitely cute like a button. and the world should be in awe every time you wake up.
not good enough: you are good enough. you should feel good enough. if somebody’s making you feel like you’re not, then that only means he does not deserve you, the brightest star light in the universe. you deserve to feel loved. your strength and your smiles make this world a better place. you are good enough: always have been, forever will be.
alone: i’m here for you, your dogs are there for you. your cats are waiting for you. your pets will always be at your back, giving sweet and soft head bumps to make you feel loved. your music playlist is there for you to blast when you’re feeling a tinsy bit down. you are never ever alone. we’re constantly caring, loving, and waiting for you. please stop frowning and crying, you are loved.
stupid: you are, as a matter of fact, really really intelligent and even smart! perhaps you’re having difficulty in understanding your math or chemistry lessons, but that’s part of the process! at least you’re learning. i’m pretty sure some people will not be able to understand it just like you. but that doesn’t equal to being stupid. you’re just learning. continue to crave for knowledge and continue to make your curiosity work. you are not stupid.
annoying: you are never annoying! just keep on talking if you feel like sharing the entire story of your life. if you want to hit me up, that’s perfectly fine too. you haven’t even said anything to make me feel uncomfortable. people would love to hear you out, to befriend you, to be part of your social bubble. no you’re not being extra annoying, friendliness does not equal to being annoying. honestly, just keep on doing you. if that’s what makes you feel happy, then you’re doing fine.
1. Never leave cookies in the oven too long. Even if they’re still really soft, take them out after the recommended time. When they cool they will harden. Trust me, no one likes cookies that taste like rocks. 2. Always take a jacket. Even if you think you’ll be fine. Even if you’ll be inside. Even if there’s a heater. Bring your jacket. 3. Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help when you need it because everyone needs help sometimes. 4. The best pancake recipe is 1 cup equal parts flour and milk, ½ cup sugar and a pinch of baking powder. Add chocolate chips for extra deliciousness. 5. Go outside every day. Even if you don’t want to. Even if you have to use all your strength to drag yourself out of bed. The sunshine might not cure your problems, but it’ll do you so much good to breathe fresh air. 6. Don’t let your hobbies fade away. Keep reading, keep drawing, keep singing, keep painting, keep running. Keep doing what you love. 7. Carbs are not the enemy. They fuel your brain. So eat those potatoes and that rice and don’t you feel guilty about it for one second. 8. I know it sounds cliché but time really does heal all wounds. Give yourself 6 months and it won’t hurt so much, trust me. 9. Be kind. There is no reason for you to put someone down. 10. Learn to love yourself loudly and unconditionally and never apologise for it. 11. If you ever find yourself involved with someone who treats you like you’re nothing, run for the hills and never look back. They don’t deserve you. 12. Rose hip oil is a miracle worker. Gently rub over your face each night before bed and your skin will feel like silk. 13. Drink. Three. Litres. Of. Water. Every. Day. 14. Take pictures. Document everything. One day you’re gonna want to look back at all of this, make sure you have the photos to look at. 15. Let go of anything that weighs you down. The past is the past and there’s nothing we can do to change it. Every day is a another chance for us to do better, to be better. 16. Spend as much time as you can with the people who make you laugh. 17. Set up goals for yourself and keep yourself motivated in whatever you’re doing. Always have something to work towards. 18. Try to make your bed every morning. Yes it’s a hassle when you’re half asleep but there is no better feeling then coming home to a nice clean freshly made bed, especially if you’ve had a bad day. 19. Treat yourself but also look after yourself. Eat lots of fruits and veggies and move your body then dance all night and have a doughnut as a midnight snack. Life is about balance. 20. Never be afraid to love, even if you’ve been hurt before. Live life with an open heart and you might be vulnerable but you will experience so much joy.
