The human world is relentlessly moving towards progress. The era of metal, great discoveries, and inventions is coming.

At one point I wondered what SAR would look like in a fantasy world. Something close to steampunk came to mind.

In any case Astrodude isn't very pleased with his pretentious mechanical opponent.

tfw both you and your pseudo-father got cancelled but he's taking it a little worse than you

on a separate note look at my beautiful twin boys earth and luna. this was meant for an ask in my inbox but ehhh I ended up wanting to do something different for that so now we just sorta have this. this was mostly a pratice piece because I've suddenly lost my ability to draw over the course of a week again so we're on that thing now. And I can't write properly if I can't draw, even if I wasn't gonna draw anyways I need to know I can or I basically lose all other function. Anyway. This is ok. I can do better, and I will, eventually 🙄 but I like it enough for now

I listened to this on deafening loop nearly the entire time I was drawing this. Only rivaled by my Chernobyl binge

Anyway I thought the whole planet revolution arc was hilarious and awesome for the supported reason that Earth and Luna being the youngest siblings left behind while the rest of them made their great escape fueled many of my agenda. of which I can not say. Because I'm a writer now and I'm not tacky enough to admit my influences in my meta. Even if you can infer a few from my posts but you know how it is. Every planet in the solar system is Fiona Gallagher. Including the Sun actually the Sun is also Fiona Gallagher. And Luna is Fiona Gallagher. Everybody gets to be Fiona Gallagher! Not Earth

Adult versions of Proxima, Toliman and Rigil [another dysfunctional family, heh]

In the latest episodes there are more and more hints of other stars appearing. And something tells me that it will be more extensive.

In AU Star-dragons are very social, and it's rare to find them as solitary creatures. It's funny that Proxima hasn't grown much physically since her last encounter with Sun. They were almost the same size when they were kids (she was a little bigger than him, just a little bit). However, Sun has decided to make up for lost time over the years. Let's hope Rigil and Toliman won't bully someone who has equal power and uses it well.

The Rogue Planets have an army that can defeat the stars, a group of planets and one of the stars breaks the laws of physics, The Moon/Planet/Star(?) Revolution, a self-proclaimed kingdom plans to kidnap the planet with life...

Only once the pull of the wind grew exhausting to stand against did Earth lower his stance, tucking his wings carefully back into place as he lowered his body to the limestone, resting atop the peak of the pyramid. Glancing down brought a dizzying few seconds of awe, the ground so far separated from his perch, and Earth could only stare for a few more minutes.

He wanted to sink into the stone itself, stay rooted here as the city transitioned from night to day, and watch as his beloved humans came from far and wide to gaze upon this wonder of their world. I wish I could listen to them think. What is it like to be so small and yet so powerful? I’ve felt small before, and powerful at times, but to be both at once? Are they even aware of how much they’ve changed me? Not just my surface, but the way I see the Universe itself? How uniquely they shine in my mind?

As the ground rushed closer, Earth refocused on the pyramids, tossing the allure of the city away in favour of his original goal. Khafre grew in size as he dived towards it, one side faintly lit by the city’s shine, giving him enough of a warning to finally open his wings. Fighting against the wind, the feathered appendages spread slowly from his sides, arching his dive into a rapid glide. Angling with his tail, the blue-green dragon dropped into a swift series of turns around the second-largest of the three, repeating the dance he’d performed for Menkaure. Far larger than its brother, and standing on higher ground than the final pyramid, Khafre towered over the surrounding archaeological sites, rising from the sand like it had always been there. And yet, as he flew over the shadows at the foot of the pyramid, Earth could distinctly remember its construction. The way so many of his humans had poured their lives, their painfully brief lives, into the raising of this monument to their leader’s afterlife. It had confused him a little at the time, but by then he’d grown used to not understanding his wonderful humans and the lengths they’d go to for what they believed in. And now, so many years later, Earth could not help but think they’d won in the end. Their leader was not forgotten, even as the desert itself tried to reclaim the tomb of him, and that was about as immortal as humans ever got.

This is currently one of my favorite chapters, along with Ch. 5. Moments of anxiety are mixed with moments of complete calmness. Earth needed to be alone with his thoughts and he found solitude in the skies of Cairo. In the silent grandeur of the pyramids. Only the night and the distant light of the city. I found this part peaceful because of the grace of the flight over the desert.

However, my heart broke more than once while reading. And something tells me there's more to come.

I'm fascinated by Earth's dragon design in fic, especially the way other artists draw it.

His design is probably the most fun to draw and this chapter also broke me a few times in different ways. 10/10 experience recommend

Earth’s definitely got the prettiest looks of all the dragons, though I fear that comes with more than his fair share of trauma lol. Luna giving him a hug 🥹

June 1st is both SolarBalls' anniversary and the start of Pride Month! I fear I won't manage to make art for both right now, but I still want to celebrate it with everyone.
