My first blog feature! We can’t wait to perform tonight at the HATCH Presenting Series!

A story: this week our ADC team had its first all-team competition. One dancer said they should "black-out" the Thursday before, as a kind of pep rally to get psyched for the weekend. They all did it. Another dancer brought face paint to amp up the look. On Saturday, the youngest dancers didn't have to perform. But they came and watched 13 hours of dance in order to support their teammates. And they took a cue from the week before and put on the "war paint" like their older counterparts. They waited backstage to ease the jitters of their friends. They screamed and cheered until they had no voice. They helped each other put on eyeliner and fix hairstyles. They gave group hugs and shared too many cookies. But most importantly they supported one another in their pursuit of artistry.
