John Astin and Carolyn Jones as Gomez and Morticia Addams in The Addams Family S1E10: “Wednesday Leaves Home”
Goldfield Hotel
Imagine you lived during the Wild Wild West era in the Nevada desert. You are a lady of the night (prostitute) working the men in the area to be able to get by.
Then you meet a lovely gentleman by the name of George Wingfield. This man wines and dines you, uses your body in any way that he sees fit. He becomes a regular of yours and you feel yourself starting to fall in love. Now George Wingfield, he was a wealthy man. A business man that owns his own hotel and business is good.
Everything is going amazing until you notice some crucial changes to your body have started to happen. You are throwing up a lot more in the morning, you are way more tired than normal.. And your stomach is not as flat as it used to be.
YOU ARE PREGNANT
And instead of feeling horror, you feel elated. You are about to have a baby, a beautiful baby that you will be able to share with your boy George. He may even try to make you a made woman, a respectable type.. married and all. So the next time George comes to visit, you decide to let him know.
George does not take it too well. He immediately denies the baby... yells at you. He explains that you having this baby will not benefit anyone in anyway. It could possibly affect his hotel business. He explained many people might not take kindly to the news of him impregnating a prostitute.
In a flurry of a rage, you yell at him stating that you are going to keep your baby and you don’t care what anyone thinks about it. George concedes... and invites you to stay at one of the rooms at his hotel.
You agree and follow him to the hotel. The long winding hallways are a passing glance for you as you notice that you have become quite tired. It has been a tiring day and you look forward to just laying down to get some rest.
You get taken to Room 109. George lets you in first and tells you to take a seat. He leaves momentarily and returns. You were dozing off but you look up at him happy to see that he returned.
George has a strange look on his face.
He tells you to stand up and walk over to him.
You do.
He immediately grabs you by the arm and throws you against the wall by the radiator. Your body is stunned, as you start coming to, you find it difficult to move.
You look down and see....
You’ve been chained to the radiator in the room.
You look around for George, he is standing by the door. As he slowly starts to leave the room, he looks back and says nothing and shuts the door behind him.
You begin to scream and scream. But no one answers.
It’s been most likely a whole month since you’ve seen another human soul. Your belly is plump while your body gets weaker and weaker. You’ve been surviving on what George throws at you.... water and bread... water and bread....
You don’t even notice that your water has broken. You are in labor, the pain is excruciating but at this point... you know that you are going to die.
At last you feel something slip out from you, and you look down and you see a small wriggling lump and hear a cry.
It’s your baby
You attempt to reach down, to touch... to feel the only other human soul in the room... the one being that put you in the place you are now but you know you will still love unconditionally.
You hear a sudden noise, you look up and see George in the door. He rushes across the room and snatches the small wriggling lump into his arms, says nothing and walks away... slamming the door behind him.
You are silent. You don’t even have enough energy to scream.
No one returns to the room.
- So what you have just read is the retelling of the Haunting of Goldfield Hotel. The story is based around a prostitute named Elizabeth who accidentally became pregnant by one of her regulars, George Wakefield. Immediately upon hearing from her about the pregnancy, he locked her in Room 109 hotel room and left her there to die.
The baby that she gave birth, he took and threw down the mine shaft.
Legend has it, you can still see Elizabeth ghost looking sad wearing a white gown.
Such a tragic tale.
As of 2020, it appears that the Goldfield Hotel has been permanently closed. But if you are curious... you can still drive by to take a look.
Haunted Court of Bombay
Picture this: You are already a hardened criminal ready to get prosecuted in Bombay, India. You think you are tough stuff, you did the crime and are ready to do the time because you know what... You are the biggest baddest mofo around the block... You find yourself in court, waiting for the court proceedings and then suddenly:
A random man appears in front of you, cursing at you... spitting... talking at you with a hoarse and raspy voice. No matter where you look in the court room, this man is staring back at you.
In desperation, you stand and start backing away. Your proceedings haven’t started yet, and you are thinking, this is just some crazy unstable man that somehow snuck his way into the room. You try to sneak away from the man but no success, he is following you through the court house... getting closer and closer...
If you found this to be unnerving, don’t worry. So do the convicted murderers of the Bombay High Court.
Legend has it, the spirit of a Lawyer or possibly convicted murderer roams the halls of that courthouse terrorizing any criminals that make there way in to the building. Now there is one stipulation, they have to be murderers otherwise you are seemingly left alone.
Now that’s one way to discourage violent behaviors.
Yikes.

Näkki Water Spirit
In Finnish Folklore, there is a creature called the Näkki. This was a terrible seaweed covered water demon that lives in the deepest of waters such as ponds, lakes, rivers, and whirlpools.
Now this creature would at times lure young children over, in attempts to snatch them up. Often they would hide under board walks where children would roam and play just to get the opportunity.
Now this folklore legend is in part due to the scary nature of water itself. The untold depths of how large bodies of water can strip you of control and put you in a completely helpless position is already terrifying enough. Now think of the implications of there being a monster sitting there waiting to bring you into their world. *UNACCEPTABLE*
This is one creature I definitely don’t want to tangle with. Let’s add in the fact that I can’t swim.
Wicked eyes peer from the murky, leaf-covered mire, their glow reflected in its dark surface.

I was literally talking about this cryptid earlier today.
The Mothman
I typically hear this cryptid described as bulky, owl-like, and dark. But, I wanted to try a creepy colorful take with more moth elements. It’s been great to pick up pencils again! Check out the Jersey Devil i just did HERE
Prints now available!
This is a beautiful rendition of the MothMan.

73- Tituba (unknown)
“You lie, Devil, you lie!”
Perhaps no figure in the study of witchcraft is as unknown and controversial as Tituba. A woman whose reputation and name precedes her, very little is known about this pivotal figure. What is known, however, is mostly an amalgamation of fictional accounts and portrayals of her infamous trial, with very little historical basis among them. It is nearly impossible to tease apart what about her is fact, and what about her is fiction. Most people have heard of Tituba through Arthur Miller’s beloved 1953 play “The Crucible”, and know that she was somehow involved in the Salem Witch Trials.
As the story goes, Tituba taught the young girls of Salem, including the insufferable Abigail Williams, witchcraft and voodoo. She was the first accused in the hysteria in 1692. While she denied the accusations at first, Tituba eventually confessed to the crime of creating a “witchcake", but only after physical abuse and torture. She then accused a slew of other people of consorting with the devil. Tituba was adamant that her rituals were not intended for harm. She denied the malicious association of witchcraft and denied being a witch, claiming the magic she learned in Barbados was for protection from evil. To this day, there is no proof as to whether or not she actually practiced any sort of magic, and no reason to believe her confession was authentic.
Tituba’s confession forever changed the Salem Witch Trials. She was the first to mention the action of flight, various familiars, as well as the book and the pact with the devil. Her confession and story was grand and sensationalized, and lead to further panic and confusion. Tituba’s inclusion in this series is essential, as she illustrates the marginalization and oppression of “the other”, especially though the association of nonChristian religious practices with satanism and witchcraft. Tituba is often portrayed as the wild, enslaved black woman who corrupts the children of Salem. She embodies the early Puritan racism and fear of difference, and in modern culture, the continued fear of blackness and specifically women of color with power.
The historical Tituba still fits into this archetype, although it is generally believed she was a Native South American, possibly from Barbados. Tituba has been described as a cultural shapeshifter, as overtime she went from being Native American, to half Native, to half black, to entirely African. Regardless of if she is of African descent or American, she nevertheless is the victim of colonization, oppression, and slavery, and illustrates the marginalization and fear of difference. Any religious practices Tituba may or may not have been performing would have been called witchcraft from a racist, imperialist, and derogatory perspective. The historical Tituba would certainly have been knowledgable of a wide range of rituals and religious motifs that would have seemed satanic to the early Puritan.
Tituba represents the unfortunately long and sad history of the enslavement of people of color, and the condemnation of black and native religion as satanic witchcraft. The lack of visibility of witches of color, along with the oppression of the magical capabilities and spiritualities of those of the African diaspora and/or Native American genocide, are the direct results of the same racism and systemic oppression that Tituba’s story encapsulates. While Salem would go down in history as the deadliest witch hunt in the United States, Tituba was not one of those executed. She was released from prison, escaping with whomever paid her jail bond, and disappeared from the historical record, vanishing into thin air.

This is a legit shot from the hallway to my apartment. Every day I make it home safe is a testament to my profound luck.
Definitely not haunted, totally innocent house that does not have any kind of traumatic past
Formidable creatures, to be sure, but they lack beauty. They thrive on the dark and cold.
Hoia- Baciu Romanian Forest
Nicknamed the Bermuda Triangle of Romania of modern day Transylvania
Currently what we are going to be viewing is the beautiful forest of Romania where there strangely curved trees and eerie background has let loose a flurry of supernatural urban legends amongst their community and has attracted a large host of tourists to come and experience for themselves.
Rumors has it that there have been numerous people that have entered and disappeared into this forest and emerged years later with no memories of the lost time.
That would lead to an awful lot of questions from their family members... I mean its not often that you are on vacation and get sucked into a temporal vortex in of forest. I don’t think bill collectors would take that as a reasonable explanation for being behind on your bills.
Visitors (that haven’t disappeared into a limbo portal) have also stated that they would leave the forest with an entire array of symptoms such as nausea, anxiety, the feeling of being watched, and the most horrifying of all COMPLETE FAILURE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES.
1979 Sydney Ghost Train Fire
Now this was an ordinary night on June 9th of 1979 when tragedy struck.
The Godson family travelled from the small Central West town of Warren to Sydney for a much anticipated family holiday. The family of four – dad John, mum Jenny, and their two young sons Damien and Craig – were late arriving to ‘The Big Smoke’, after a train drivers’ strike forced them to take a series of buses for what is usually a six hour journey. But once they arrived in Sydney they made the most of their time, travelling around the city seeing the sights.
While waiting at Circular Quay for a ferry to take them across the harbour to Luna Park, the Godson family were approached by a Satanic-looking figure. A tall man wearing a horned mask and a leopard print loincloth. The figure stood behind six-year-old Damien, placed his hand on his shoulder, and someone took a photo.
The family then boarded the ferry headed towards Luna Park.
On the night of 9 June 1979, a fire broke out inside the ride at approximately 10:15 pm. Due to a combination of low water pressure, under-staffing within the park, and inadequate coverage of the Ghost Train by the park's fire hose system, the fire was able to completely consume the ride. It took an hour to bring the fire under control, but it was extinguished before any significant damage could be done to the adjacent River Caves and Big Dipper.
Around 35 people were believed to have been on the ride when thick smoke began to escape from the tunnel doors. Ride staff raised the alarm, and began to pull people from the ride as their cars exited the tunnel. It was initially thought that everybody had escaped the fire, but at around 11:30 pm, the bodies of seven people were found inside the ride: John Godson and his two children, Damien and Craig, and four Waverley College students; Jonathon Billings, Richard Carroll, Michael Johnson, and Seamus Rahilly.
At the time of the fire, investigating police speculated that the seven had climbed out of their cars and unsuccessfully tried to find their way out of the tunnel; had they stayed in the cars, they might have survived. Other evacuated passengers reported seeing empty cars exit the tunnel on fire.
The man in the mask has never been identified and over the years there have been many theories about who – or what – he was.
Some believe he resembled the god Moloch, who asked for children to be sacrificed through fire or war. While others believe he was linked to a local satanic cult.

The Werewolf of Bedburg
Peter Stumpp (died 1589) (whose name is also spelled as Peter Stube, Peter Stubbe, Peter Stübbe or Peter Stumpf) was a German farmer, accused of werewolfery, witchcraft and cannibalism. He was known as 'the Werewolf of Bedburg'. He claimed that the Devil had given him a magical belt or girdle, which enabled him to metamorphose into "the likeness of a greedy, devouring wolf, strong and mighty, with eyes great and large, which in the night sparkled like fire, a mouth great and wide, with most sharp and cruel teeth, a huge body, and mighty paws." Removing the belt, he said, made him transform back to his human form.
Stumpp had allegedly been an "insatiable bloodsucker" who gorged on the flesh of goats, lambs, and sheep, as well as men, women, and children. While on trial, admittedly under pain of torture, he confessed to killing and eating fourteen children and several adults, one of whom was his son whose brain he was reported to have devoured. Not only was Stumpp accused of being a serial murderer and cannibal, but also of having an incestuous relationship with his daughter who, alongside his mistress, was sentenced to die with him
The execution of Stumpp, his mistressand his daughter on October 31, 1589, is one of the most brutal on record: he was put to a wheel, where "flesh was torn from his body", in ten places, with red-hot pincers, followed by his arms and legs. Then his limbs were broken with the blunt side of an axehead to prevent him from returning from the grave, he was then beheaded and his body burned on a pyre. His daughter and his mistress, having been flayed and strangled to death also had their bodies burned on the pyre, with the belief that fire was one of the few ways one could kill a werewolf. As a warning against similar behavior, local authorities erected a pole with the torture wheel and the figure of a wolf on it, and at the very top they placed Peter Stumpp's severed head.
