Shoutout to the fellow nerds out there! In college I was in the Geology Club and got made fun of by a basic B roommate for joining the club. I definitely didn’t let that stop me. I took a club trip to the Smithsonian and fell in love over and over in their mineral rooms and inspired me that night to start my Tumblr blog Mineralia and then years later Mineraliety. Thanks for the pretty typography that packs a power reminder for me @nim_brn ////////////

Sharing my story:

I’ve always been fascinated by gems and crystals — I remember having a book called “1001 Facts on Rocks and Minerals” when I was about 10. When I reached my teens, however, the obsession lay dormant for a few years, until a certain cartoon with gems hit the air. From there, my childhood love was reignited, and it still continues to this day. I started this blog as one of my side gigs in 2021 after starting a crystal collection of my own, and it’s since become one of my most active side-blogs.

I’m proud to be a gem nerd. 🥹💎
