Hey there! I'm trans and will be moving to Australia this year (working holiday). I'd like to start HRT while there but I don't have health insurance, was wondering if you know anything about the process/costs of going private to see a GP & endo?

Hi ,

If your country you come from has a medicare agreement with AUS then most of your cost will be paid back.

I just pay a visit to a GP to get a referral letter for endocrinologist and from then everything gets bulked billed through medicare.

Have you got an endo in AUS?

Traveling in this vast country I never seem to get bored off. Going from Adelaide to the Gold coast on a journey with myself. Finding the meaning of my travels , the answers to my doubts. Connecting with nature and people I didn't even imagine being part of my life. This blissful time I would bottle it up if I could.

It's been 6 months in a row now that I take the little blue pills that changes my life. A lot happend during that time. Living my life the way I feel. Travelling , working , traveling again and repeat the process. Along the way I made memories and friendships. Learned to love myself and live my life to the fullest. And to tell you the truth the HRT is not what makes the biggest difference. It helps a fair bit, I can't deny that but it is your own mindset , your love and the courage to be who you are that makes it all possible.
