Okay I know I have an audience of. Of um. Of Minecraft YouTuber Tumblr. But guys if you want something cool to check out— I’m here to spread propaganda— Please check out this review of the game Heisei Pistol Show! It’s one of my favourite games and very thematically relevant to a personal project I’m aspiring to make in the near future(!), and this video essay is part one of two and is superb so far. When I was working on this review I told myself that I would be happy as long as it got 10,000 views. Over time I changed this number to 1,000, and eventually settled on "If one person really likes this video, I'm satisfied".

It's really surreal to me to see how much time has passed since then, and this review is still somehow finding people. People telling me that they've watched the entire video more than once is especially crazy to me. I've known better than to go back and watch myself talk in this since it released, but I do end up in the comments section pretty often to re-read all of the kind messages that people have shared. I never thought that I would be a "youtuber" or whatever, I was always more interested in making music than, uh, game analysis videos -- but, at least for right now, I feel like it's very worthwhile to spend my time making videos like this.

Would you make an easily accessible archive of the original 2chan yume nikki threads? Or at least show where to find them?
