Been thinking a lot about Leon and Krauser lately.

Krauser and Leon are two sides of the same coin. While both struggle with survivors guilt, they went in two opposite directions in order to cope.
Leon developed a saviour complex, stemming from his inability to protect those around him. Blaming himself for the losses in Racoon city, Spain, China and basically wherever he is sent on a mission. Krauser was doubtful of B.O.W’s, until Operation Javier; where he was impaled by a B.O.W, and later discharged from the US military. He was left powerless and chose to do whatever it would take to gain that power back. Considering his entire life revolved around his status within the military/government. Leon wishes to take down the virus’s and stop the creations of bioweapons. Whereas Krauser wishes to control the virus’s and use them to his advantage.
They are literally two sides of the same coin and Krauser is not a villain, not even close. He’s an antagonist during RE4 yes. But no body could ever convince me he was an evil spirited villain. Simply a hurt man who took his hurt out on the world around him.
I’ve also seen people ship these two? I’ve been a Resident Evil fan for years, played all the games and yadda yadda so please don’t call me a fake fan It’s not that I’ve just never seen it tbh, always thought of them closer to father and son. In the way that Leon looks up to Krauser very heavily. But please let me know your thoughts!

Your day couldn’t have gone by any slower, you thought. A long day of chasing snot nosed kids around in the blistering hot sun… all while having the worst sleep of your life in that dusty old cabin you and the other girls share. Everyone was exhausted and had waited all day for this, to sit by the fire and relax under the dim moonlight.
Emma and Abi took the initiative of setting up a nice relaxing night at the fire-pit. A ‘celebration’ Emma claimed. For making it halfway through the summer, being understaffed and unprepared for the scolding heat and extra work. Everyone agreed it was a great idea, and with Mr H’s approval everyone was counting down the hours until sunset.
As everyone found their seats on the logs surrounding the fire-pit you took the opportunity to sit next to Jacob. You’re best friend you’d made so far at camp, whom you might have had a crush on for a while now. Though you always told yourself you’d never say anything about it, in fear of ruining your friendship. He was just the only guy in your vicinity that was your type! Jacob’s boisterous voice snaps you out of your thoughts.
“How are you Y/N? You seem tired.” He asks you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and pulling you close to him. Your face flushes a bright red. His dark brown eyes lock onto yours, a companionate look across his face.
“Yeah- I’m uh, I’m fine. Just really tired from today, yknow?” You stumble over your words, getting worked up from being so close to Jacob. His eyebrows furrow, doubting you.
“You sure? You look sick-“ He explains, rolling up his sleeve and gently touching your forehead to his forearm to feel your temperature. You quickly recoil, giving him a sour expression.
You look at Jacob, pretending to be offended. “Excuse you? I look sick?” Your right hand coming to your heart, staring at him completely gobsmacked at his choice in words.
A smile creeps up on yours face as you pretend to be offended. Jacob’s caring expression quickly switches to a small smirk. The two of you laugh together for a few moments before settling back down.
“You know what I mean though Y/N. You’re all red and you feel hot.” Jacob scolds you, squeezing your shoulder ever-so-slightly.
You laugh at Jacob’s reaction smiling at his affection towards you. Jacob slides his hand up to your face, and pulls you closer to him, letting your head rest on his shoulder. Your face heats up even more at Jacob’s kindness, but the two of you both relax in each others presence and admire the fire.
All of the others at camp told you to just tell Jacob you liked him, especially his best friend Nick. You could never tell if they were joking or not, purposely trying to ruin your friendship or if they were simply giving you a push in the right direction. But either way you believed them all now more than ever, as Jacob held you close playing with your hair.
“You sure one of the kids didn’t get you sick?”
“Yes! I’m just- I’m just embarrassed”
“Because…?”
“Because you’re being so affectionate n’ stuff. I’m not used to it.”
Jacob pulls away from you to look you in the eye. “I’m just grateful to have you, I know todays been rough.” His voice hushed, barely above a whisper.
He smiles, then returns to playing with your hair and staring into the fire. “We’ve all been waiting for this night to ourselves. Be proud of yourself. You’re literally every kid’s favourite councillor here.” His complement’s go straight to your head, as you feel your pace quicken and face grow warmer.
“What? No… I’d say it’s probably Abi.” Deflecting Jacob’s complement’s.
“Shut up, you know you’re awesome and you’re too humble to admit it.” Jacob laughs, and rests his chin on your head. He never failed to cheer you up.
Your body relaxes in Jacob’s arms, as both of you stare into the fire, looking around and appreciating all of your friends.
