FFXIV's unnamed NPCs have some interesting things to say, so I thought I'd create an alt where I slowly work my way through the game and pay close attention to them. This is the sideblog dedicated to that.

Did an alliance roulette, and got into an Orbonne Monastery that had been going for 32 minutes already... and they were already in the final battle, and I had no way to get in.

So I took the opportunity to appreciate the scenery.

Never really showed off my oldest character - W'rheu Teishe! She's not actually my oldest, but she's the oldest that I actually dedicated a lot of time to. She was my main for a long time, until I created Grand. I did just about everything for the first time as her - got lost in Praetorium as her (long enough ago that sprouts weren't a thing). Good times.

I created her originally because I wanted her hair to imitate a Siamese cat, and because I'd never played black mage.

Did my gift exchange with my parents today since we're going to family's early tomorrow, and my mom got me a FFXIV MCH phone case (with some guidance, telling her that this is the symbol of my main's primary job) . 💖

Since I am currently stuck and tired and bored, I will share the random thought I had when I replayed ShB the other day.

So, the Ascians caused 7 successful rejoinings, and thus 7 shards merged with the Source. That means that those 7 fragments of Azem have been merged to us, much like Ardbert when we're fighting to stay ourselves at the end of ShB.

What I was thinking was that explains full parties, especially with primals (before the events of EW). The 7 other players aren't other adventurers, they're your other selves from the other fragments! So it's really just yourself fighting, and the other players are lending you their strength. I mean, this probably isn't true, this is just something I pulled out of my ass when I was finishing up the Hades fight at 2 am.

But I like it so I'm gonna keep it.
