Always wondered how to drive nails into a bat without splitting it.

My guess would be that you start by drilling a hole on the enterance and exit, so the nail penetrates closer to the core. Either that, or drilling a thin hole all the way through, then driving a thicker nail trough the premade holes. Or I could be completely wrong, that’s also a possibility.

You're not far off. You do indeed drill pilot hole all the way thru that is slightly too small for the nail in question, and then hammer it in without worry of splitting the wood. But these nails are just rubber!

I've noticed a pattern.

Whatever level of technology you are comfortable with, remember that someone before you saw -that- as excessive. I know it's human nature to hate on technology but it's up there with "kids these days" in terms of futility. Technology doesn't consist of "people text too much!" It's medicine, and communication, and education, and art, and science. And yes, connectivity. People spazzed about the invention of the telephone as well.

What inspires you in your art? And where are your favourite places to shop for clothes?

That first bit is so hard to answer! I take inspiration from so many things. Sometimes I'll get the beginnings of an idea in my head and perfect it feverishly before making it. Other times I see the thing I want clear as day, and I make it. I love looking at photography, drawings, movies, concept designs, fashion, books, comic books, art, real life things, anything. I obsessively seek out images and sometimes they inspire me. My favourite places to shop are H&M and Forever 21, because I can always rely on them to find interesting clothes. I like Zara sometimes too. And the many other boutiques and odd stores around my city.

I got my man a Gandalf-style pipe for Christmas. Only it was white Ash, so I stripped it, painted it, engraved Tengwar on it, and re-varnished it. No one’s got a pipe quite like my baby’s! Merry Christmas sexy bear!

It's back as of a few hours ago!! But I have trust issues now. It was back before and it went away! I won't trust that it'll stay on until I see spring! Either way I high-tailed it to Brampton after two days of it. It'll be so nice to go back home though.

FINALLY back online after leaving town to escape the ice storm blackout. Forty hours of living by candle-light, as sexy as that sounds, was getting to be too much. I cannot wait to have a hot coffee and a hot shower and some hot cooked food!!!

So, my man was getting some Duckweed for his turtle, and I guess the lady at the aquarium place accidentally scooped up a little frog with the plants. So, meet Fraug! My new pet frog, I guess!

The big project is done and as far as I can tell I’m home free until the new year. Woo! I am looking forward to getting so many things done. I have several pieces of clothing to alter, and I need new fangs, want to finish studying for my driver’s test.  Gonna be awesome :) Oh! And maybe start planning that ray-gun!

The body suit I got from Urban Planet, but it's a knock off of an American Apparel piece that's a lot more expensive (and the fabric is much thicker, which I find uncomfortable). The spiked shoulder armour/harness, I made. :P

Every time I go shopping I come home with tight black pants and black tops, but I swear they are totally different from the tight black pants and tops I already own!!
