i know i said it already but this is the funniest possible plot twist to me. i’m living holy shit. vess “i think i’m smart enough to kill god” derogna getting killed completely offscreen is so good holy shit. she’s an archmage of the cerberus assembly! she’s one of the most powerful wizards on the continent! and she gets this nothing death, an absolutely ignoble end. like fuck!! what good was all your knowledge!! what good was all your power!! you had no one and it got you nothing in the end!!

Also a funny note, this whole thing kind of goes with Caduceus’s point with Trent. She died this nothing death and it means nothing to anyone. The biggest negative impact her death will have on the world is how inconvenient it might be to find someone to replace her. No one to love her, no one to mourn her. And just the unintentional but beautiful side eye to Trent. Like see this, f-wad? This is your future. You aren’t special, you can be replaced. Everything you worked for was for nothing, it won’t save you from dying a sad, lonely, insignificant death like the fool you are. Caduceus’s words should echo in his brain right at his bitter end.
