so what happened was um,,,, the new chapter came out, i yelled, rattled a friend about it and ideas came up. can’t say much ‘cause.. uh oh, SPOILERS but yeah. i just want tomioka go grow healthy and well, HE DESERVES THE WORLD

Giyuu is there. He’s fighting. He’s fighting the biggest fight of his life along with the entire crew, the one that everyone has been waiting for, the one that could change the world for the better.
But in a flash, he feels something hit him hard. He flies to the side, one of his arms flying somewhere to the side. Only a few more breaths that are forced through his lungs and come out accompanied by a good amount of blood and then he falls unconscious.
After all this fighting, after all these movements that he worked so hard for, after all the efforts… A black curtain falls before his eyes. He fights to pull it away and keep his eyes open, reminding himself that he has to stay alive. He’s certain that he has more strength and can keep on fighting but alas, it gets the best of him.
It stays dark for some more. It’s empty. A void.
Then, a beautiful picture flashes before his eyes. There are beautiful fields with little pathways that he couldn’t see the end of. The sides of the pathways are trimmed with tall wisteria trees, little petals dancing all around in the air. Partner of theirs is the ever so chilly but calm summer breeze and it helps Tomioka realize that he’s not in his demon slayer attire anymore. A beautiful blue kimono is wrapped around him. It’s covered with a beautiful pattern, one of waves and some droplets. He’s not overly fascinated by it, however -- there are more important matters at hand.
He isn’t sure where he is, so he decides to keep on going. Could this be some kind of mirage? A dream? He must wake up as soon as possible! He must--!
“Giyuu.”
That familiar voice.
He sharply turns around and his eyes wide in surprise. There he stands. His friend. One of the only friends he has ever had, besides Tanjirou. The one he lost and still grieved over, even after all these years. The one he wanted to talk with one more time. The one he wanted to play-fight with, just one more time. The one he never managed to welcome home for one last time.
“S… Sabito.”
Those are the only words that manage to roll out of his mouth. His expression is one of pure shock, at first. He doesn’t know -- does he shake his head and wake up or does he run into his arms? It wouldn’t be the first time he would dream of reuniting with his old friend. He always woke up in tears and cold sweat from those and he wouldn’t be able to get it out of his head for the entire day. Like it wasn’t enough that he felt upset by default and those only added up. His mind loved torturing him.
But this didn’t seem like a dream. Unlike the dreams, Sabito walked over to him. Overwhelmed by the fear that his relief would be only momentary, Tomioka stepped back instinctively. But he bumped into someone, which made him jump slightly and turn around quickly once again.
“It’s you, Giyuu!” The little girl shouts as she wraps her petite arms around his waist.
“Makomo…?”
“Who else, silly? Welcome home!”
Something inside of his soul bends. And then breaks. No, it doesn’t just break -- it snaps.
The tears that come after that aren’t ones that he can control and he simply lets them roll down. He turns around to Sabito, who smiles ever so calmly at him and he feels more of his soul coming down to ruins. Those ruins melt, too, and they result in some sort of.. happiness forming. Some sort of tranquility and comfort. His friend takes off the last bit of weight that might be on his shoulders as he wraps his arms around him. In a sing-song voice, he announces.
“Welcome home, Giyuu.”
“I’m…” He rips out from his throat as he wraps his arms around both of them, the never-ending flow of tears running down his cheeks. Through sobs, he manages to reply.

This was no good. Seeing her master so down in the dumps did nothing but upset Tamamo. And what wife would leave her beloved to suffer by themself?
The fox wanders in front of Gudako’s room for a while, before finally making her presence known to the other. As she enters the room, it’s dark. The silhouette of her beloved barely stands out as it lays on the bed and if Tamamo’s protection instincts hadn’t kicked in already - now they did.
“Master?” Her voice resounds the place and feels a movement from the other side of the room.
“T… Tamamo?” Sorrow and weakness can be heard clearly as she speaks the name of her servant. It’s as if that something awakens within Caster that she finally rushes to the bed. Without having to be asked or pushed back, she finds her master and embraces her with both of her arms. The arms of the other automatically find their place as well, which would be around her servant’s waist and she rests her head on her shoulder.
The gentle kitsune’s hands began to slowly slide up and down the other’s head in an attempt to soothe her cries and her upset. Explanation for them isn’t given--but they’re not begged for, either, since Tamamo figures that she doesn’t need it and that her beloved wouldn’t like to speak about it. Simple declarations of her endless love and reminders that it’s going to be okay are thrown at the ginger and although not verbally, she eats them up. The grip around the servant’s waist is tightened and a voice whispers,
“Please, Tamamo… Please, don’t leave me...”
“What kind of a wife leaves their beloved when they most need them? Rest assured, my Master - I will never leave your side~...” She replies and her hand stops moving, now simply resting on the other’s head.
More tension leaves Gudako’s body as she sighs deeply and closes her eyes, burying her face some more into the other’s neck. Tranquility now fills the room, though it is far from uncomfortable or irritating - for that there’s the perfect wife to rid her darling from the awful nightmares.
i’m SUCH a sucker for this ship honestly. it’s nice to imagine that maybe sometimes douma was a tiny bit softer with inosuke’s mom and just,,, the content that’s out there for them. THEY’RE SO GOOD!!!!!! plus i wanted to write douma for a while, so that looked like a good excuse.

Stunning. Everything about this simple woman was so stunning.
Not only was she incredibly beautiful from her sparkling green eyes that looked ever so soft to her tiny but petite build, but her looks were complemented by her kind, loving nature. Douma couldn’t remember a time she looked at her child with even the slightest of discontent or didn’t sing him to sleep whenever he was about to cry.
The only negative trait she might’ve had was that she wasn’t the most clever person out there but that wasn’t something that couldn’t be overlooked by the demon---or, what she still believed him to be, cult leader. It felt good to tell her some simple facts and have her react like he actually said something incredibly smart. After that, though, she’d mention that she couldn’t quite get the hang of it and laugh it off, accompanied by Douma’s own laughter as well.
“Oh, little Inosuke wants you… Please, hold him for just a second! Wouldn’t you like to see him smile?”
...And exactly because of her stupidity, sometimes she’d propose weird things like she did just now. That made him snap out from his little spacing out session so he could give her a kind of a mocking smile. He chuckles under his breath and waves his fan dismissively; that makes her expression turn into a questioning one.
“Oh, dear, I’m not that good with kids. I’m sure he’d rather stay in his mother’s loving embrace! Sing some more of your lullabies… That’s what helps him calm down usually, doesn’t it?”
“Um, yeah but… Now he wants you!” She was already about to hand the child out to the other, an eager smile playing on her lips. “So please!”
That makes him but sigh, seemingly like he gave up but there was some anger mixed in there. The charm of this naivety of hers was going to be the death of him, wasn’t it?
In an inexperienced fashion, he grabs the child but she quickly guides him on how to do it properly. He’s more into listening to her sweet voice and look at her captivating features however, so he still ends up not holding him like one’s supposed to hold a child.
Taking a look down at the little baby now, though, he notices how much that child resembled his mother in appearance and can’t help but smile at it cheerfully, exposing his sharp fangs. He hears Kotoha stifle a giggle as well, which only gives him more courage to hold the child more tightly.
However, the second he brought the little Inosuke closer to himself, he poked one of his fangs with his little hands and then made a sound---a cheerful one, Douma reckoned. It was a bit confusing on why it would take such a brave move… But it was definitely interesting.
“Do you like my fangs?” He exclaimed and smiled even wider at the child, which seemed to help it take the decision to poke his fangs again. That pressed out another laughter from both his mother and the man that held him.
“He likes you, it seems! You’re both so cute!” She cheered, clapping her hands thanks to the joy she currently felt.
Seeing her so happy really did make Douma feel something else… He couldn’t quite name the emotion but if he had to describe it - he was ready to give and do so many more things, just to ensure that he’ll get to see it until the very end of his days---however long that was.
so basically i’m a little... new with the whole ordeal of having an active tumblr blog. and didn’t quite figure out that mayhaps i’ll need to make something like that so bear with me. i got a bit too excited.

Something felt especially sweet about this situation.
It wasn't the flowers. Or the green grass. Or the sun that was so bright that they had to hide under the shadow of the trees.
Maybe it was her gorgeous green eyes that looked at everyone in quite the affectionate way. Or her pink fading into green hair that looked like it was kind of all over the place, yet, it was collected and put in a few nice braids. Or her sweet laugh that almost always left her, even if it was for something small and meaningless.
There was so much liveliness in her that Obanai could never even imagine to accumulate but was still somewhat affected by it. She always managed to make him feel .. good, even if all she did was just stand around and ogle at her comrades.
"Aaaa---nd! Here it is! You look adorable, Iguro-san!"
A daisy flower crown is placed on a snake's head. His cheeks tint in red but not that much because of the embarrassment as it was because of her smile. He wonders how to reply to that comment of hers and quietly mumbles.
"...Not as much as you do."
"Huh? Ahhh, I'm sorry! My heart was beating so fast and loudly, like---BADUM BADUM, all up in my ears! Can you repeat what you said, please?!"
Iguro doesn't reply. Instead, he places his hand on hers and along with that, another wave of embarrassment washes over him.
Kanroji places her free hand in front of her mouth and it's obvious that this caught her off guard. She's just as embarrassed as her fellow and it's easy to see.
Awkwardness fills the air for a while but then her other hand is placed on top of his. He looks at her, shocked a bit, and all she does is.. laugh.
She happily laughs for that the air is filled with that thing she longed for so much --- love.

“Thanks, mom.”
The words rolled out of Inosuke’s mouth so easily and casually, as if it was normal to call her his mother, as if that was just how he was supposed to. No hesitance, no delay - that was the big surprise that caught her off guard.
There have been people referred to Shinobu as their big sister; that was the image she was going after and honestly, it just naturally came to her to mind others and tend to their injuries -- both physical and mental -- whenever she had to. But mother? Never. Never once in her life has anyone else called her ‘mom’.
True, Inosuke wasn’t one to think his actions and words more thoroughly, which was especially concerning, but it definitely wasn’t just that, was it? Maybe she resembled his biological mother, in a way? Or was it simply because she patched him up and spoke to him kindly? What was it? What was it…?
No, it’s useless to think about it. Asking the real deal why he did that was going to be far better of a solution.
When she snapped back to reality, the boar boy was already out of the infirmary, stomping proudly through the little hallway.
“Wait, Inosuke-kun!” She raised her voice slightly to stop him as she showed up on the doorframe.
“Huh? What’s ya deal?” He huffed as he turned around, the empty eyes of his mask now aimed at her.
“...Did you call me ‘mom’ just a second ago, before you left? I apologize if I misheard but…”
“Uh-huh. Got a problem with that, momma?”
So he really did call her that… There really was zero doubt in his voice when he confirmed her claim and that caused her unfaltering smile to twist into a surprised expression. Soon enough, however, it turned back into a sweet smile and her cheeks were slightly flushed.
As confusing as it was, as hard it was to comprehend, it still felt so endearing that he regarded her so highly. He was such a sweet child… Even though he had a bad temper and couldn’t control himself in the slightest--but Shinobu wasn’t one to judge him for that.
“Oh no, of course I don’t. I’m sorry if it sounded like that. Please, have a wonderful day and don’t forget about our appointment tomorrow.”
“Gotcha! See ya later, Shinobu!”
“See you later, Inosuke-kun.”
As he rushed out the exit, the butterfly spun on her heal and went back into the room to return the materials she used earlier on their places. Humming quietly, she found herself in too good of a mood.
It was so silly… To be so happy over such a little thing. But she could allow herself to indulge in such tiny pleasures from time to time. If she had to play the mother role for Inosuke - then she’d happily take upon that task.
