“Terrible,” Talisa said jokingly but smiled. “I read people really well and you just seem very nervous, which isn’t really like you. Seriously is everything okay? You know you can always talk to me.”

Alexander looked away for a short moment. “It’s nothing, really.” He tried, before scoffing and shaking his head. “Remember that time I told you I was getting hate mail because of the blog? Well, a couple of them started to mention you. And I...” he paused, trying to formulate his sentence and struggling. “I just really don’t want you to get hurt for being... close to me.”

Wesley took the man’s hand and returned the smile with a curt nod, “Mr. Fawley, it’s a pleasure,” he replied formally after giving his hand a shake. “I’m all ears, sir.”

“The pleasure is mine, I assure you.” Alex said with a grin, dropping the other’s hand. “Well, it’s more of a job offer, really. I need some help with a couple of articles at The Informant, and there’s no one else who can write quite like you can.”

Alexander offered the other a wide smile. “Skeeter. Hello,” he said, stretching out his hand. “I have a proposition for you.”

“I won’t tell on you,” Talisa laughed. “I’m glad you came. Letters don’t capture you either. It’s great to actually see you again.” She smiled and then noticed his uneasiness. “Hey, are you okay?”

Alexander looked over her through glittering orbs, and smiled. “You too,” he said in a low, hushed voice, his face contorting into a gesture of happiness. When she asked, he lifted his head, almost surprised, his eyes wide. “Am I really that bad an actor?” He asked with a small, nervous chuckle.

Talisa was sitting down at her desk grading her student’s latest exam when someone knocked on the door. “Hello, do you need anything?” She looked up and noticed that it wasn’t a student like she expected, it was Alexander. “What are doing here?”

Alexander rounded the familiar corridor, nearing the room he was looking for, giving it a gentle knock, and slipping inside. His look was disheveled, tired, worried, but he smiled nonetheless - and his smile was genuine, for it was in reception of the only person who could make him smile in a time of crisis. Talisa. “Hi,” he said, breathlessly, his hand running over the letter in his back pocket nervously, before he crossed the room and sat in a seat close to her. “I... I guess I just wanted to see you. Letters don’t quite capture you, you know. So I kind of snuck in. You won’t tell on me, will you?.”
