And his smile evaporated the moment their parents rejoined them. “Sounds like you two are getting along great.” His father grinned, clapping him on the shoulder. Gabriel’s eye twitched and he stood. “Piss off” he sneered to his father. Turning to his new fiance, Gabriel quickly said, “That by no means any reflection upon you.” He then straightened and shouldered past his father to the kitchen, knowing if he was there any longer, he was going to slug the man.
