    “sometimes,” he admitted softly. most of the memories came in dreams. there was a lot of death. a lot of pain. he could hear screaming in his head. “i’m not sure if it’s possible, but sometimes things feel too real. when they shouldn’t.”

    “can get pretty hot here, yeah.” sometimes it was nice. other times, well -- not so much. there was a fine line there. “where’s lucis?? can’t say i’ve ever heard it.”

    why did he feel like these words were something that he could really understand?? it didn’t ease the confusion in his mind that was rising up, nor the familiarity of her face. he knew her from somewhere. some place. “no, guess they really don’t. you got some insight most people don’t. i know we’ve never met, but -- you seem so familiar.”

Was that [JOSH HUTCHERSON]? Oh no no, that was just [PEETA MELLLARK], a [CANON CHARACTER] from [THE HUNGER GAMES]. They are [21] years old and [ARE NOT] aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.

peeta believes he has been in dc for about five years now. he’s been here for a little over a year now himself

he has been pulled from mockingjay but before the end of it. around the time they were setting out to the capitol on their mission

so yes, peeta is still hijacked.his mind is completely warped from tracker jacker venom and the torture that he went through after he was captured in the games. he’s been twisted into a weapon for the capitol and his target is katniss. 

while he does not have his memories, seeing her will trigger that hijacking even without bringing them back. he won’t have any idea why he reacts like that way

he works at a bakery in dc

in his false memories, peeta’s parents died when he was young and was put into foster care. he bounced around from family to family for a while until finding a good home for him around 12

he moved out when he was 18 and has been working in the bakery ever since

when he was around 15, peeta was in a bad skateboarding accident. he wound up with a concussion and ever since has had memory issues. he sometimes has a difficult time determining things that are real or not real

he’s a friendly guy and always wants to help people. but after his accident he started to distance himself a bit more because of how people would react to his memory issues

peeta has nightmares about what was done to him by the captiol. he remembers the torture and the pain from the venom. he remembers another person’s screams with him and a face
