The Idea of God - Is He There?
God is a very deceptive subject and the idea of his existence is equally deceiving. While the subject is deceptive, God himself is a very evasive personality, and at the same time is hidden from the realm. Your maneuvers through steadfast faith is not sufficient and qualifying enough to find him. In fact he is so evasive that the moment you agree with yourself and arrive at a conclusion that he does exist, you might be challenged by a counter argument that can be equally profound. He will successfully evade your proclamation of his definitive existence. In that moment of utter disappointment, when you are convinced that he does not or could not exists, you will find yourself in the midst of your own experiences staring you in the eye and telling you that he does exist.
I am often overwhelmed by both the feelings. Sometimes I am quite convinced that he does not exist, and this whole belief and faith mechanism is nothing but a careful device through which God is projected to the faithful and only to them. When this thought overpowers me, I don't get restless. Instead I think hard and only search for reasons and instances that would hold my ground at the moment, that God does not exist, and that he is a figment of our imagination and perhaps a product of our very basic human psychology - to remain subjected to someone else's power.
Often, this line of thought and the way true faith and strong belief are projected as the only way to reach out to God, make me more suspicious towards the idea of his existence. My belief in the non existence of God keeps on growing stronger as I carry on and move forward with my arguments. But just as I am convinced and equally sad with the convincing closing argument that God does not exist there comes an instance from a personal experience that is beyond doubt, something you have been a witness of and is beyond any contestation. Something that makes you believe once again that supernatural forces do exist, and it's highly likely that God exists too. And I am not talking about miracles here, or magic or anything that can be termed as a hallucination. It's just one instance that makes me believe that a higher force does exist.
One was the planchit (calling the spirits) that I did with my sisters many years back. Among all the questions that he satisfactorily answered to, we asked his name too, and he replied "Nakku". My father later told me that it was the nickname of our grandfather and was quite surprised that I knew the nickname because very few people would know that, and by the time I was born my grandfather was no more. This event is beyond any doubt for me when we were actually in conversation with a spirit. I often tend to forget this event but when I am convinced with the argument that God does not exist, just at the fag end of the concluding and definitive argument, I am always reminded of this event, and all the prior convincing argument goes to waste and so does the sadness. I secretly become happy that I was a witness to this event.
The other realization pertains to the biggest miracle for everyone. The existence of this world, the planets, the galaxies, and this infinite universe. No matter what the science says about the creation of this universe, and the multiplicity of theories that have been propounded so far, there is no convincing answer to this question. Even the laws of physics that is hypothesized from time to time and proved and rejected from time to time, the very question that who formulated it and controls it, itself has not been answered. The mysteries that mark the quests of the scientific community are just like the mystery behind God. It's just that he is not there. Just like the Higgs Boson which was largely an idea, a theory, a form of matter believed to exist but hidden from the open eye and invisible under normal circumstances. But with the resource and commitment of the scientific community, this possibility has been proven beyond doubt.
Similarly, the scientific community is indeed on its path to prove God through science. The emergence of Noetic Sciences is one such phenomenon that depicts that we are on our path to find the answer to that question that intrigues us all. An answer that would not just rely on faith and belief to achieve its means. Even if someone has faith and belief and could not find God, this methodology won't question the subjects passion and faith as an alibi to his unsuccessful attempt to find God. I am quite excited with this development, not because it will or will not prove the existence of God (considering that mere inability to prove the existence of God would not mean that God does not exist), but excited with the fact that if the existence of God can be proven, it will also be able to tell us what God is, and What He Isn't. If Noetic Sciences does give us a scientific proof, I believe it would be the biggest gift to mankind.
It's very important to understand what is God and what he isn't. It is also equally important to understand that while he might be the source, the medium is you. You already have the power to shake yourself out of the hole that you might be in. What is important is not to spend endless amount of hours in praying but live a life of silent prayers and spend endless amount of hours just working hard, and harder, and still more harder.
One who keeps on counting his failures and number of hours and days spent in each of the effort he made, and one who blames only God for his failures and subjugates himself to his supreme existence in a very negative way has got it simply wrong. He / She needs to understand that the power to do well lies within his own command. He should have the passion to make it happen, the will to toil till the mornings and the evenings, and till the nights turn themselves back again into morning. One should have the readiness to face any thunderstorm in the form of constant and continuous failure, bone shattering cold, and destructive hunger. In short the will to withstand any pain your passion might serve you. When a person starts with this resolve and takes God out of this equation and retains him to provide him the courage and the faith, then it becomes only a matter of time.
The examples are endless. To be able to achieve success, there's only one quality that you need to have, the quality of a fearless and a capable warrior. For if you become one, God will come and take a seat in your heart, and make you one like him. Thou shalt be God, God will be within you.
