We are well into the big swing of the MCYT renaissance. We have a new season of Hermitcraft coming up soon! We have new Life Series seasons sprouting like mushrooms! We have the first birthday of QSMP coming right up! And so many smaller SMP’s and minecraft communities popping up from every angle of the internet.
So what is the best way to celebrate all of this? Well, why not resurrect an old Livejournal tradition from the days of yore?
What is a Kinkmeme? A kinkmeme is an event where someone requests a prompt and/or pairing, and someone fills that request - all anonymously.
When? Signups start on February 25th, 2024, and end on March 24th 2024. You will have time to finish your prompt fills until April 7th, 2024.
Where? You can submit and fill the prompts here on AO3 starting on the February 25th, 2024.
Who? The kinkmeme is open to anyone!
However, if you have any doubts or suggestions just send us an ask!
All work lengths are accepted: you can submit anything between a drabble (100 words) and a long-fic. Multi-chaptered fics are welcome too!
Please put whatever sensitive content trigger warnings your prompt contains(age gaps, consent issues, infidelity, death, gore, familial relations and other dark themes in general) before the prompt itself; if you’re in doubt if something is triggering, tag it anyways - better safe than sorry!
Of course, the same goes for the fills: please tag the kinks and eventual triggers correctly. And no, “dead dove: do not eat” alone doesn’t quite cut it, even if that’s our slogan. If you don’t want to disclose anything, please use the archive warning “author chose not to warn”, so readers can proceed at their own discretion.
If there’s something you really don’t want to see in the prompt fill, please specify it with “do not want” in your request.
Same thing goes with things you absolutely want the prompt filler to put in the fic: specify it with “want”, of course.
When you fill a prompt, please specify what prompt you are responding to in the author's notes.

No RPF. Keep it cubitos only, please! Exceptions can be made for various in-lore gods and goddesses. For this same reason, no /reader pairings, either. Cubitos only event! :D
As the rule above implies, this is about the cubitos. Requests for the characters played by controversial/problematic CC's are allowed.
Do NOT share this anywhere the CC's might see it. No twitter, and certainly no tagging them, or in their twitch chats or youtube comments or official discords. Tumblr is okay, and so are private discords servers with friends.
Last but not least: please don’t harass anyone over a kink, a character or a pairing you disagree with. Remember: don't like, don't read, and your kink is not my kink and that's okay.
Do I have to stay anonymous? In the spirit of the kinkmeme, and given the controversial nature of the content, both prompter and author should be anonymous. You’re free to claim your pieces, either on Ao3 or by submitting them here!
Does it have to be in English? For the moment, we’d prefer it, for simplicity of moderation’s sake. That could change, though!
I have a prompt but I don't want t/don't have time to write, can I still submit prompts? Yes!
I don’t have an AO3 account but I want to participate, how can I do that? You can send us an ask here with your prompt or submission, and we’ll proceed to add everything on the kinkmeme AO3 as soon as we are able. OR! If you are bold enough and don’t want to stay anonymous, you can either submit them here or post them on tumblr using the tag #mcytddkinkmeme and tagging us @mcytddkinkmeme2024 to make sure we see it and reblog it.
Instead of fanfic, can I fill a prompt with art or other media? Yes please! All kinds of media are welcome here - be it fanart, gifsets, manips, video edits or really anything you want to do. Since AO3 isn’t really optimised for fanworks that aren’t fanfics, unless you don’t have a trusted image hosting site to upload your fanworks on Ao3 yourself, or if don’t give a damn about anonymity, either submit them here or post them on tumblr using the tag #mcytddkinkmeme and tagging us @mcytddkinkmeme2024 so we can see it.
Can I only prompt/submit porn? Not necessarily. Of course, given the nature of the event, one would assume only porn is allowed, but you can write all sorts of whump, angst, fluff your heart desires. We aren’t picky! Someone’s lame vanilla is someone else’s most awful squick.
Can I only prompt pairings? No, you can also prompt threesomes, foursomes and so on and so forth - the more the merrier. You can also prompt genfic without pairings using “no pairing”, or prompt something for an unspecified pairing using “any/any”
Can I fill my own prompt? Sure! It’s anonymous, so who’s going to know?
Can I re-prompt something with variations? If you see a prompt you like and would like to read it for your own pairing, you can re-prompt it! Just make it clear that it’s a re-prompt when you submit it.
A prompt has already been filled, can I fill it again? Can I fill multiple prompts? Of course!
