In the No Pines Timeline, Marty is evil. Just straight-up evil. Occasionally, No Pines Marty crosses paths with Marty on some unseen cosmic plane of the space-time continuum. Okay, so here me out.

This map of 1885 Hill Valley is from the Doctor Collector Back to the Future Time Travel Memories Tin [X]. It's probably my favorite BttF map ever because of how detailed it is.

In the upper right corner, we find the first of two legends that name the numbered establishments on the map. And number five, by far, made my imagination spiral: fortune teller.

The Fortune Teller is located just behind the bathhouse (number 4 on the map) in the Chinese camp (3), apparently just out of view when Marty enters Hill Valley at the beginning of Part 3.

Long story short: No Pines Marty totally sets up shop as a fortune teller just to screw with people/ make Doc mad because he's actually telling people about the future/ refuses to live in the blacksmith shop with him.

That's it. That's the whole thing.

New headcanon: No Pines Marty overthrows the owner just to screw with people/ make Doc mad because he’s actually telling people about the future/ refuses to live in the blacksmith shop with him lol

Besides, it’s much more in-character for him to overthrow than set up—he ain’t got time for manual labor. Why don’t think he won’t stay with Doc? 😁

“Do you know why there’s no Three Pines Marty?”

Marty backed away from No Pines, unaccustomed to the panicked sheen and manic smile.

“It’s because that psychotic, evil, shit stain of a man we know as Three Pines Doc erased him.”

Marty wet his lips. 

“Why?”

“Because he started hunting for another Doc in the space-time continuum to take down this guy.”

Marty’s brow deepened. No way.

“How do you know this?”

“Because he came to my Doc! The next day, Doc asked where my letterman jacket was. Said it ‘looked nice.’

“Guess what that poor Three Pines bastard wore?”

No Pines Marty staggered into Courthouse Square, gawking at the orange chaser lights shooting into the black sky above Biff’s Pleasure Paradise. 

A laugh leapt from him. 

“Good for you, man.”

Maybe Biff would put him up for the night since his house wasn’t his house right now –

“Hey! McFly!”

Marty turned at Needles’s voice, eyes igniting when Needles revved his motorcycle at him. A stream of others coursed around them like bees in a hive.

“Leech got Strickland good and riled up. You coming?”

Marty stared at him, smile curt.

“Is that the son of bitch with the AK-47?”

The rest is pretty straightforward, he pulls out the asshole-repellent and sprays him and tells him to go away 🤪 jk it’s just water

I mean it could still work since he beats his ass the next day. Marty just never speaks of this again. The only hug he ever gives to his dad 🥺 AND HE WASNT EVEN AWAKE, MF WAS ORDERING FOOD 🥲😂 the real tragedy 😂🤪

Marty being angsty af in the last few panels 😩 I left it up to interpretation, is he like WTF was that (warm fuzzies🥺), or is he like Aw shit I’m a dickhead, or is he like Ugh I just hugged my dad, or some other thoughts? ultimately he shrugs it off

OK BUT IM ALSO PROUD CUZ I HAVE A RECEIPT. It was completely unintentional that the word ‘marshmallow’ started with the same letters as ‘Marty.’ I didn’t realize until I typed it 😅😂😂 but I love how it works out! Anyways, marshmallows were popularized in the 1950’s sooooo it’s pretty plausible that George likes marshmallows… 👀

I will entirely accept this. ❤️❤️❤️ The story doesn’t work if No Pines Marty is TOTALLY heartless (but perhaps it is more unconscious). A wonderful ending!! Well done! And thank you again for giving this guy some life!
