Imagine if a 30 something white ass man whom you've never shown any romantic interest at all told you he wanted to "be in control of you"-idk about you but I would slap that mf across the face and then file a report. OH is not a single LI book PB please fucking stop treating it like that. It's disgusting and uncomfortable to say the least.

Getting really really fucking tired of my MC who has only shown romantic interest in Jackie in the godforsaken 3-1 li travesty of a series consistently being written to “care” about Ethan fucking Ramsey. How hard would it have been to code “because I’m your friend” instead of “I care” for people who have no romantic choices with him? And then you have the absolutely creepy response of my hitherto totally platonic colleague in no uncertain words telling my mc that if she follows him out of concern for his mental state he was going to need to exert dominance over her and fuck her?

I’m just so fucking tired of Ethan Ramsey being the default. Of it being written like there’s some romantic tension there with him and only him. Jackie last week had a diamond scene that was promoted as friendly but you could choose romance. Today Bryce has a friendly escape room, Raf has the kid’s birthday party. I’m sure both could have small romantic time, but it wasn’t the focus. Ethan is a little baby and finally sees some consequences for his arrogance and his option is “here’s a bondage outfit he’s gonna 50 Shades of Grey’s Anatomy your ass.” Fuck this book.

@playchoices can someone, anyone explain to me how the treatment of Ayna Seth in anyway, shape or form aligns with the promises you made in the action plan you released to address the treatment of characters of colour in your app on 16th June 2020? Really puzzled how we can be sitting here just shy of 10 months later living through exactly the same issues with the treatment of characters of colour. Issues YOU promised you were going to change. Issues in a book you have had ample time to edit before release following the publishing of your action plan.

Villianizing a woman of colour isn't cool, it isn't "interesting" and it isn't cute. Honestly I don't even know why I expected better. Your action plan was nothing more than lip service and you need to take ownership of the fact that you are still failing at even remotely offering fair treatment to your characters of colour.
