On days like these, there was nothing more refreshing than a good swim. With no summer courses to worry about this year, Matt took advantage of the cooler mornings to go out to the beach beyond. Noticing he wasn’t the only one, he nodded. “Beautiful morning, oui?”

Nora made a habit to start her day off at the beach, it allowed for a calm moment of reflection, a moment of nature and peace before the start of a crazy work day. It wasn’t often she saw someone along this stretch of beach, so when Matt spoke she almost jumped outta her skin, she had been rather lost in thought, but she smiled. “It really is quite a beautiful morning. What brings you out here so early?”

“Oh can you? Why don’t you whisper them in my ear?”

“My, my you’re a dirty girl Poppy. I’m surprised. But if you must know. I’d most likely just handcuff you to my bed and well--you could direct me a little from there, or I can just have my way with you.”

“Oh my god you are a godsend, thank you so much I don’t mean to take you away from your work or whatever you were doing I just need to be in ten places at once”

“Godsend may be a little high--but hey--I’ll take it. And no, don’t worry one bit. I’m here on bushiness but I’m thirty minutes early so...Can I help you get anything done? Make your work load a little easier? Carry something for you---anything?”

“Oh--Yeah, sure no prob-- And here--let me take some, your hands are way to full. I would say I know, but its more like I’m the one who needs everything to be quick quick quick.”

“So you want me to direct you and control you? I think I could do that if you really wanted that. It could be a lot of fun.”

“I know I’m just a dance teacher but I love seeing all these celebs and these events come together. After sitting back and watching it on TV for many years and being here-… it’s like a dream come true”

“Well--You certainly look the part. Almost a bit to well--If I hadn’t known you I would have assumed you were a celeb and wondered why you weren’t on my roster.”

“That is so awesome to be honest like I love stories like that. You’re like a Sucker Punch, something they never see coming. It reminds me of that meme where it’s like ‘I want to talk to the manager’ and you’re like “I am the manager’. Oh that would be awesome i mean I need to warn you about not being a great coordinated person because I trip over air on a daily basis if I’m honest. THAT LINE IS SO STUPID, I just wish it would die. Like if I’m a lesbian why would I be into dick like? It just doesn’t make sense to me at all. Hey I’m available to you, whatever you need I’m here. Have I introduced myself? I’m Poppy, I know Harper. She mentioned you before.”

“Sucker punch? I mean--I’ll take it. Oh god yes I love that meme and it really does feel like that sometimes when people come in yelling for Mr. Pond and then get me. They look so fucking shocked and I adore it. Hah, well I can still help ya, even if you are uncoordinated. But yes, isn’t that the worst line? Like it makes no sense. I hate it. Oh really? Whenever I need you? I’ll keep that in mind, but its a pleasure Poppy. Harper has mentioned you a couple times. You’re even more beautiful than I had imagined.

“ yeah, i never really understood where the strawberry thing came from myself. ” she agreed with a shrug. “ then again, i’ve heard weirder names for things so. ” she added with a laugh. “ i am, but both things i’m working on right now are voice acting roles. ”

“Well--red--strawberry--its close, my hair is more of a orangey-brown than red but....” Nora shrugged, she didn’t pretend to understand the world of salons and hair matience. “Oh? what all are you working on? Or can you not tell?”

“And you should know that I’ve never said no to you before,” she replied with a wink. Hearing that Nora wouldn’t mind the publicity that came with being seen out romantically with her assistant, the brunette then reached for her hand and intertwined their fingers as they entered the restaurant. When Nora informed her that it would be the last time she got to pay for the other woman, Harper arched an eyebrow. It was odd to hear since she never needed to be taken care of. Not only did she have more money than she knew what to do with, she also was quite the investor. Her knowledge of business and the stock market not only allowed her personal income to continue growing, but also assisted her father’s business. “What if I want to spoil you too? You have to give me a bit of wiggle room here,” she pouted. Once their wine was poured by the waiter, Harper took a sip and sighed at the delicious taste of it. Any nerves she did have would surely be lost with a little alcohol. “You know, now that I can actually mention this to you, the way you dress at work is completely unfair. Do you know how many times I’ve been distracted by you?” The amount was far too many to count. She had literally almost tripped twice. Since the chefs decided the menu, the two of them were allowed to just sit back and enjoy each other’s company until the courses were served. 

“Trust me, that I know.” she chuckled and ran a hand through her hair. Holding hands with Harper sent a jolt of electricity up her spine and through her veins. It was rare, if not a totally new sensation. Hearing Harper’s barter she tilted her head slightly, eyebrow raising. “Oh do I? I have to give you wiggle room?” she asked, smirking at the pout she received. “Maybe we can work out a deal,” she started. “But it’ll take some bartering to make this work.” Nora teased, her fingers lacing around the stem of the glass. She swirled it around before taking a sip and sighed as well. “My way of dress is distracting to you?” she asked, a little smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. “I had no idea.” she said, voice dripping with sarcasm. “Has it made you mess up at work, seeing me wearing such clothing?” Nora asked.

“I can definitely see that, not that I was checking you out or anything but I mean-… you definitely have something going for you. It also is about how people just automatically think a CEO should be male and I love that you are turning that around for them because I mean fuck stereotypes, I think females should definitely be in more dominated roles. I feel like your client must be either related or best buddies with my client who always tries to get handsy with me and plays dumb on certain positions so I can show him how it’s done and it’s like ‘dude keep your hands to yourself, I’m not even into guys so like you aren’t going to get anywhere with me’ yeah absolutely what were you thinking like did you want to book reoccurring days or?”

“Hey--I wouldn’t say a word against you if you did. In fact I’d most likely try to show off some more. Oh god--yeah, they always assume that Pondtect is run my ‘Mr. Pond.’ Far from it. My dad was always the stay at home dad type--mom ran the family business and trained me to run my own. you know--i wouldn’t be surprised if its the same dude or some friend of his. His friends are dumbass people sometimes too. If you want I can teach you some moves to ward off that behavior for good if you like. Of course they can’t accept that a hot girl is a lesbian, that’s unheard of--do they toss the ‘you just haven’t found the right dick yet’ sorta line? Because i swear if I had a penny every time I heard that I’d have a million dollars. I think maybe two or three times a week would be useful. We can start with two and see if they take to it and add more as time goes on. I just know I’ve heard some of them asking for yoga time or some other type of workout.”

“That wouldn’t be half bad if I’m honest I mean I’m down to learn whatever you want I just want to be bad ass, I want a purpose in life you know? I want to be doing something that I will enjoy and something where you’ll look after me in a way because you certainly know what you’re doing”

“Trust me, you go through the training I make my new hires go through and you’ll be a badass. Well--what are some things you enjoy doing? Maybe i can help.”

“I don’t think the title of being a CEO is in the personality or how you act it’s all about putting hard work and effort in like if you are the nicest person on Earth but work your little butt off then that’s what makes you the CEO you are you know? That is so cool, do any of your celebs have diva moments? Like of course it’s like confidentiality and all that so you don’t have to tell me names but do any of them do things you can’t stand. I would love doing something like that, I mean I have a studio down town, if you wanna work something out we can like work out classes and times for your employees”

“Well--my butt ain’t little, but I get what you mean. People just expect the ceo, especially of the industry I work in, to be a tough bitch all the time, and don’t get me wrong, I totally can be. I just try not to bring that air anywhere outside of work. Oh god honey, you know it. There are moments I just wanna strangle them for being such divas but hey--its work and sometimes clients act like idiots but you learn to deal with them, and it as you go. I do have this one client, he constantly, CONSTANTLY has girls coming to stay in his apartment and he’s a big name you know?  It’s not like--to sleep with someone you gotta go through a background check, but we do basic like ‘is this chick crazy?’ sorta stuff--and man, 3 outta five times he’s pulling crazies back up to his room and we have to make sure they aren’t stealing shit or taking pictures..and I keep telling him to just get on the dating app but no he insists on doing it his way--even though he’s had no less than 20 items stolen from his place in the past two years. Drives me nuts. I would love to work something out if you’re down!”

If you need me and are hiring I’m down-… Just kidding but seriously don’t ever underestimate me. It will be your biggest and last regret. I don’t but it’s something I want to get into”

“Of course you do, I just don’t feel like I see enough feisty women. Girls who are sassy and can stand up to a point, but that are downright feisty? Not so much. I wouldn’t say no to good help, but you’d have to start with some serious training; judo, jiu-jitsu, krav maga... But hey--if you’re willing to do that I’m sure we can find you some work.”

“ there is, i agree. ” zendaya spoke with a smile. “ no, that’s definitely more red than blonde. ” she agreed with a nod. “ yeah, that’s kinda what i was thinking. a touch of pink rather than all pink. ”

“I don’t know where the blonde part comes in--or who thought that--but hey. Whatever. I’ll take it.” she said with a shrug. “Yeah, a touch, a dip of it would look fabulous.  You don’t have any films you’re working on right now do ya?”

“Oh my god that sounds so intense and I feel like I should check it out despite it getting cancelled. I mean it doesn’t hurt to watch a cancelled show does it? Quantico sounds like something I might pass on but I don’t know. I suppose the way to find out is to watch it. Oh I know – spoilers are everywhere for shows these days because everyone talks about them and I’m like, “No please don’t!” because it ruins it if you’re not caught up on a particular show.”

"It REALLY is super intense. I--I just some part of me refuses to accept they cancelled it. They’re cancelling all the good shows now adays. It’s bullshit. and yeah, give it a try, if it doesnt catch you by the second episode it might not in general. It just depends on what sorta stuff you like. I’m into spy dramas so I watch a lot of them. Just stick your fingers in your ears and go ‘lallalallalaallalaa’ as loud as you can till they get the hint to stop talking spoilers.”
