Vlad Plasmius creates a clone of Danny Phantom using both their DNA to house Dan’s spirit. After turning Dan into an infant to manipulate Danny, the child escapes during a chaotic chase in the Infinite Realms, vanishing into a portal.

Vlad went too far.

Furious, Danny declares his first decree as Ghost King: anyone aiding Vlad will face dire consequences.

The infant lands in Gotham, abandoned in a cemetery, and grows up in the foster system as Jason Todd. But as Jason’s life unfolds, the truth of his origins will come to light.

And Vlad? He’s not done. Not by a long shot.

TLDR: Jason is a de-aged clone of Danny and Vlad with Dan’s spirit pieced together. When he searches for his birth parents, he ends up with more than he bargained for. ___________

20 years ago today, Ultimate Enemy aired, and it quickly became my favorite Danny Phantom episode even though I'm quite new to the Phandom. It’s also the only time my favorite character appeared (sigh). I think about him and this episode every single day - it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. 💚👻
