This is for my fanfic Pitiful Beings on Ao3 ! So, I decided to make some Tomoe and “Tomoe” art ! Both the original first vessel and the copy appearance that the Shinigami entity behind the blue-spider-lily uses.

Some fun facts about this chapter:

-Temari the wind hashira is completely based on Temari from Naruto.

-Tomoe’s appearance is based on Fujimine from Ichi the witch and Hia, Sua’s sister from alien stage. She just has a tan that neither of them have.

-The iron hashira being a smith comes from an old idea of mine about a generation of hashira from before the ones we meet in kny, I was happy to use him for something. His name is not mentioned because Douma doesn’t know it and it’s in his pov but his name is Yarito, he’s a distant relative of Haganezuka.

In light of the new official art that includes Douma and that he looks so good in it I am losing my mind, here is the scene that came into my head after seeing that art :

Douma, wearing that : “Higanbana, my love, I am so excited for our date ! Do you like my outfit ? I picked it just for you !”

Higanbana, trying very hard to look serious : “You look … decent.”

The more she looks at him the more she blushes.

Douma, with the most smug expression on his face : “I knew you were going to love it !”

Higanbana, getting mad at his teasing : “Urgh ! Shut up ! I’ll rip those stupid clothes out of you, you-“

Douma full of enthusiasm : “ Yes ! Yes ! Yes ! Please ! 😍😍😍😍”

Higanbana realizes what she accidentally said, she blushes violently, puts her face on her hands and groans.

Higanbana, mutters : “ … You’re … impossible …”

Douma, hugging her : “Impossibly in love with you ! 😍😍😍”

blorbofication to me is when you love a character in such a laser focus way that you somewhat detach them from the narrative from which they are inserted and treat them in a way roughly similar to how you'd treat an oc for which you still have no story and just like to put them in situations just for fun. which there's nothing wrong with btw, it's just that it can easily lead to people forgetting the character engine in a narrative and not just a barbie doll
