something disturbing I see happening a lot is when posts with notes in the tens of thousands sharing fundraisers are nowhere near their goals - obviously I'm grateful that their fundraisers have been shared, and I'm glad that people have donated, but it's still so disheartening to seeing 20,000+ reblogs on one post for a fundraiser and then go to the gofundme and see that the amount of donations is just a small fraction of that.
the most recent example I've come across is Ola's ( @olagaza ) campaign, which she has documented here! as of my writing this post there are 28,318 notes on Ola's post, but only 1585 donations. Ola is still not very far over halfway to the $50,000 goal she's set.
Ola's campaign is line 205 of @/nabulsi and @/el-shab-hussein's vetted fundraiser list. Here's a direct link to her fundraiser:

please donate and share. help Ola and her family survive the horrific circumstances they're currently being forced to endure, and keep in mind that just because a post has circulated widely, there is no guarantee that others have donated.
