I do plan on writing more Stefan centric fics (he’s my favorite character and I just adore him). I’m currently writing my own historical romance right now and am almost done with the first draft. Once I get that out of the way o do plan on writing more Stefan fanfics. Just need to get some ideas mulling about for it.

As for recommending other Stefan fics that’s a good and hard question. One of the main reasons I wrote the story to begin with was because I found such a lack of good Stefan fics. But let me look back through my read list and see if I can get anything for you.

I’m the anon that mentioned originals/Stefan: I’d like to imagine in 3x03 in the end of the episode instead of making Stefan forget Klaus and Rebecca take Stefan with them. And throughout that decade he stays with them and meets the rest of the family and becomes a part of it until something happens and their only option is to make him forget. Which would explain why Stefan has barely any memories from the 20’s.

Then present day it picks up when Elijah see’s Stefan again after they save Elena. From there idk. Like what if they knew Stefan was also a doppelgänger (which I think is a huge plot hole in the show like they are alive for a 1000 years and they’ve never seen another Stefan??). Obviously angsty/dark/trauma etc. Klaus gives him back his memories in pieces. Idk I’m not a writer haha.

Also can I just say it’s so nice to be able to talk to someone who loves Stefan just as much as I do lol.

Can you recommend any good Klefan fics? I really wish Klefan was cannon. The producers made a big mistake. Paul/Joseph's chemistry was truly amazing.

Right?! Watching their scenes over, it's RIGHT THERE! All the writers had to do was literally make it official and the rest was already there. Ugh. Such a missed opportunity. But that just means we have to write it then! lol. As for Klefan recommendations, none particually pop into mind that have really grabbed me. I like some enemies to lovers, or just some tension dynamic between Klaus and Stefan, and most of what I've found fic-wise with them is too much sweet fluff for me (maybe I'm broken, but I'm just not a fluff reader, but absolutely no hate to those who love it). I'm actually trying to write a one shot right now on them so clarify a bit in my head what I'd truly like to see from them, as there's so much to both characters and a relationship between them would just be so amazing for so many reasons. Have you found any fics that fit that sort of description? If so I'd love to read them to get some inspiration!

I love that you write Stefan centric fic, I’ve always wanted a story where it wasn’t just Klaus and Rebecca that knew Stefan in the 20’s but all of the originals. And what the dynamic would have been like after everyone found out and what the originals would think once they woke up and saw him. I’d like to think Stefan was the glue that held them together in that case hehehe.

Omg, I love this idea. I've never even thought of this, and it could be so good in so many ways. Hmmm, I'll have to ponder this one. I've never watched the Originals so I really only know Klaus, Rebecca, and Elijah well enough to write them I think...maybe a bit of Kole but it seems like he comes out much more in the Originals. Would it be angsty family drama you think? Would Michael and Esther be involved or just the siblings? I should watch the Originals and see if that sparks some good dialogues between Stefan and the Mikaelsons. What a cool idea though, thank you!

Aww thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy them🥰. And great question. Hmmm....canon wise I love the Stefan & Lexi friendship—I don't think much beats that and I so wish we had gotten to see more of it. And I enjoy seasons 1 to 2 Stefan/Elena. As for noncanon ships, I'd say first goes to Klaus/Stefan. Now, I did read this one AU fic that was Enzo/Stefan (and it was before the series ended so some of the end stuff hadn't happened yet), but I actually found I really liked that dynamic too for a switch up. I'd love to hear your favorite Stefan relationships too!

What are some of your fave Stefan centric fanfics?

Okay, so I had to go waaaayyy back in my reading history to find this author, but they're honestly the only one with the sort dark, whump stuff that I like that is mainly Stefan centric. ywhiterain is who writes them and I enjoyed several of their fics--warning, theirs are heavy smut most of the time. But it's at least in my wheelhouse. Besides that, I've found a few good fics scattered about A03, but most of them were left unfinished so I didn't save them or want to recommend them. But the lack of angsty Stefan centric fics was one of the main reasons I decided to write my own, because I knew there had to be people out there like me who loved Stefan and his troubles and wanted to read the same stuff as me 😅 Feel free to leave me any recommendations if you have any too btw! I'd love to read some!

Awww thank you! 🥰 While I watched the show while it was on air, I didn't actually even find out about Fanfiction until like, 2016 ( I know, SUPER late to the game lol). So I've been a fanfic reader since then, but only recently found the TVD fandom maybe in around 2019? What I found in the fandom at least on A03 and Fanfic.net was a lack of Stefan angst fics (my personal guilty pleasure). I was really surprised that there weren't more. And after some time, I got tired of searching for what I wanted to read and decided to write it myself 😅 And I've just been so blown away with the support and readers who also love this kind of stuff!
